    spear fishing results

    i bought a short spear gun for 50 $$ and we hopped in my friends tiny community lake today and within five minutes pulled out this beast.

    im the guy in the red holding the spear. cant wait to take this to the beach next week.







    EDIT: AND I KNOW YOUVE ALL GOT BIGGER CATFISH THAN THIS BUT FOR CALIFORNIA THEY DONT GET MUCH BIGGER HERE.

                                      yea catfish are nasty. i would not eat that if i was you. there like carp, they eat the crap off the bottom of the lake.

                                                  FOL-ive been looking for laws on it forever. I cant find any. The most I can find is that the same laws are for spear fishing and regular fishing. So if you have a liscence and dont go over your limit, your fine. At least thats what im hearing.

                                                  We usually use Hawaiian slings in the ocean which is kind of like bow hunting, more of a challenge. But we were bored today so we hopped in the lake with the new toy.

                                                  My best guess to why its deformed is cuz we were pressing on its stomach making it make these farting noises for about 5 minutes of good solid entertainment.

                                                      gee... I just figure shoot the darn things with a rifle... why'd you go through all that trouble using a spear gun if it was illeagle no matter what way you did it?
