It's not the paranoia you need to learn. Truthspeak and politspeak are all around us.Originally posted by HoppysMagyes big brother is watching us... Micro recievers in our brain control our minds, you get them in the flu shots....

Who is the enemy, why are you at war? WMD, topple Saddam, Bin Laden?
The answers change yet no one seems to care.

War-crimes?! Cmon now. Have u seen the video? You cant even tell whats goin on. Theres no tellin what the Iraqi guy was doin. Now on the same token im not sayin the Marine is guilt free because the video quality is just too poor. Also i signed that petition not because i think some senator sitting on a committee (sp?) is gonna read it and miraculously change his or her mind. Its just a showing of support. I dont think this Marine should be vilified until we know definitively what happened. Which unfortunately probably wont happen.

This incident is why I don't like the idea of media in combat. If you want to drop a reporter with a tablet and a 35mm camera into the war and have them on their own, then so be it. But the fact that these reporters were even in there before the marines did a full sweep of the building bothers me.

War crime? Your blatant ignorance is showing bright and yellow my friend.
These terrorists do not belong to any government body.
These terrorists do not belong to any sanctioned military body.
These terrorists never signed any accord/agreement/convention/or have a note from Mom.
These terrorists have but one goal: Kill Americans wherever they are.
As civilians taking up arms, they come under no protective status and, in fact, are deemed criminals by UN/world court/US courts/international agreement.
As criminals, they will die in whatever way a soldier deems necessary for the safety of his people and mission.
The Marine acted correctly and swiftly. The reporter knows not of what he saw or filmed.
War sucks, but staying alive to fight another day is paramount. The bad guy forgot that.

You people take everything Army says as gospel. I'm not saying he's wrong, I'm sure I'd be a little edgy in that situation as well. But I'd like to think that I wouldnt kill him, theyre still people.flying planes into a building is a war crime, not shooting a terrorist faking his death to live another day and kill another american. I don't even know why we have pow camps in Iraq, there's no such thing in this war. Army is right!
I find it hilarious that you posted that right after SBF posted the Saddam, Bin Laden, WMD thing.Comment
