i still dont understand how kids get f's. Im the laziest guy ever in school. I hardly do homework, absolutely never study for anything, and the worst ive ever got are c's. you must have to try to get an f.

why weren't all of the grades bad then? as a parent of a child who has has a similar report card, i was upset also. yeah, the a's and b's are great but that F kind of overhsadows them. i don't think i would have taken away so much stuff though, maybe the concert and designate the car for to and from school and maybe job usage only.

You got an F - as in (at least when I went to school) below 60% and you wonder if loosing some luxuries is too harsh   <--- I mean that as nicely as possible

My step-son got an F once... from the time he got home from school to till after dinner he was not allowed to leave the table, game systems were put away... he was to sit there studying until I had written notice from his teachers that his grades were acceptable - and he had to ask them for them. Worked surpisingly well and it still gave him time after dinner to do things, besides play video games.

No sympathy here. Pulled the monitor out of my room, took the car away and let me keep my beeper but thats because it was a human leash. And i didnt go anywhere but school and work for like 3 mos.

Sorry to be mean but. Get over it if you dwell on this stuff you are going to have a hard time in ther real world.

My dad is a teacher, so I hear this crap all the time. It's been said, but you really have to try to fail these days.

Wait until you're paying for each grade you get. Then F's will REALLY suck.

samey-samey. 'Cept those college courses seem a bit easier to fail...

I think it's entirely too harsh.

It's typical of most parents (and people too boot) these days that more often than not they focus on the negative.
Return to the free market. Get rid of all government regulations and let society make it's own decisions. Time and again the relaxing of government regulations has increased profits, innovation and the economy.

My thoughts exactly, I mean im a stoner and I'm extremly lazy. I never ever bring anything home from school, so no homework or studying, and I still get A's and B's and the occasional C. As long as you apply yourself some-what you can pass with ease.

                        You failed English didn't you?

I know its not fun to be critical of spelling and grammar on the internet. I realize I often make mistakes in the same. But really, has a better opportunity presented itself recently. I'm sorry, please take it as a joke, it was meant to be.

Sorry, but an F in grade school isn't acceptable. Not sure where the "focus only on the negative" is coming from.

I went to a private school too.

So, no, it's not any different.

All teachers are different. You cuold tkae the same exact course in one class and then in another class and if you randomly forgot everythign you learned the first time, the better teacher will teach you better and you'll get a better grade. I'm not blaming it on teachers, I'm jsut saying there are some that are more strict adn some that are harder.
