Uh, how is he in grade school if his parents took away his car? How many 6th graders do you know that drive?

        Okay, now I'm REALLY confused.

You're in South Dakota. I'm in New York.

You said your in Grade 9. That should put you around 14-15 years old.

How do you have a car?

I believe that the driving limit is significantly lower in that area (ND, SD).

I come from a very disfuctional household and my advice is this. Be happy that they care about you enough to try and get you to do better. Now whether or not you choose to improve is your own decision, but at least their hearts and minds are in the right place. Even though it is obvious that place is not where you want it to be.

South Dakota/North Dakota and Montana can get drivers licenses at 14, unless that has recently changed.

And no, i dont think its to harsh, and im not going to feel sorry for you. You FAILED, plain and simple. Do better next time and dont whine when your priveleges are taken away from you.

I'm in 11th grade I've only failed one class, Spanish II, and it was because I got lost somewhere in the begenning(not to mention slept every day Spanish I and the teacher still gave me B's) and had no idea what was going on after that. In chemistry, I did no homework ro classwork AT ALL, just got high 80's to mid 90's on the tests and did 10 extra credit articles. He gave me a B.

The only time I do homework is if I have time at lunch or if it's a project of some sort. My GPA is 3.075 or something.

Plus at my school anything under a 70% is an F

I'm not blaming it on teachers, I'm jsut saying there are some that are more strict adn some that are harder.

I understand this. Ive had some hard teachers and some easy teachers. When you get a hard one, try a little harder. For me that means I go from minimal to no effort, to say average effort. Average effort includes doing homework in the beginning of class, or the period before, so that even though its halfassed, its still handed in. Where as minimal effort involves not doing anymore homework than you have to to keep a b. If I get a report card that says I got an 87, it means I worked 7 % harder than I had to; and I try not to do that again. A perfect grade for me is a 79.5, considering the teacher rounds up. And yes, I have gotten a couple of those in my day.

What do your parents have to understand? If all the other 14yr olds passed, it's obviously not stupid to teach it to them.

Change your attitude from "that's stupid, why do I have to learn it" to "I have to pass my courses" ASAP.

                        I suggest you start here:

You don't know effort until you take an Engineering degree and have four lab courses in one semester.

But, yes teachers can make a huge difference. Me, Thermodynamics 1. First time, walked out of the final exam. Second time, A+.

But, then again course load has a lot to do with it. I slept through a summer program of Fluid Dynamics and easily obtained an A+.

But, the average highschooler has no concept of how devestating a school workload can become...
