If you add up the hours I spend studying and doing homework in a semester it is under 48 hours. Alot of kids my age spend about 3 hours a night doing homework. I am not very good at school but I still don't fail. Infact I'm making a 100 in my English class. There really isn't much excuse for failing a class. And I missed a week from the flu and I still feel like crap.

Although that does suck it wasn't something your parents did, it was all you.

some schools must be diferent..the amount of points.. i missed 2 out of 8 on a vocab test.. it was a d-..... i still cant figure out why.

          2 out of 8

take 10 points for each miss...

          toatle grade= 80%
          i got= 70%

another kid missed three and he got a 70% so i went up and talked to her and she just said her grades are final. in a mean voice...

this school is VERY messed up!

i was a almost straight A student in public school...and i work twice as hard now in this school.

Haha, I did geometry at 14, I got A's both semesters.

Taking Integrated 2 (Used to be Integrated 3) at the moment. I have like a C, because tests are heavily weighted in this class versus homework. So I could have done every single homework assignment and failed 1-2 tests and still get a C+ , B- area... I'll end up trying harder this semester. This is the worst I've ever done in a math class, ever. I've never gotten lower than an A-, which just goes to show I'm lazy as ****.

Honestly dude, just do the homework, I haven't even started tonight but I really should... actually I will...

If you roughly study for the tests and do the homework, you will get A's and B's. The only way to fail is to not work. If you get A's on all the homework and C's on all the tests you will get in the B range.

Freshmen year I got around a 2.8, 2.9 GPA, which is honestly... horrible. This semester, if I get a 3.0 I will be very lucky... and very happy. I'm shooting for a 3.7-4.0 for this semester (100% honest). I need it, and it's not like I'm doing anything otherwise.

Perhaps you should go back to public school. Honestly, if this school is messed up your parents are wasting their cash.

Sounds like a good time to practice you writing and rhetoric. Write a long, detailed, and polite letter to the principal, the teacher, your parents, and the head of any parent teacher board. Simply state the problem you see with grading, provide examples, explain how you think it should work, ask why the grading system works the way it does now, and ask if your marks could be reviewed or that you be provided with a clear written explaination of your grades (with calculations), and whether the system can be changed and monitored.

Than the school is a good experience if the grading system works like that. In the real world try doing 90% of your job right and expect an A (as in some schools). Try doing 70% and be considered average... Face it, the school gradign system does not reflect the reality of society and its expectations.

Then YOU should demand an explanation or a refund.

How are you paying for your own teacher?? Is this a home school type arrangement?

If the teacher is accredited, there's ALWAYS someone with authority you can go to. Write that letter, at least you might save others from the same problems.

Not true. If the courses are accredited and worth anything for entry into other schools, they're accredited. You can talk to your state/local education department.

If you're paying them, they need a business license. So you can complain to the better business bureau.

If they're not accredited, you've wasted your money because without that no other school will recognise your certificates/diplomas. But, you can still talk to the state/local education authorities because they'll be interested in shutting down an illegal unaccredited operation.

My parentals were the same way until I got accepted to college and turned 18. Once i was in to a school my parents just wanted me to pass the rest of high school, so they laid off considerably. I did my homework, i just never went to school . My entire senior year id leave school early or wont even go to school, I found a loophole in the system where I would almost never get caught. Its kinda weird I got the best grades my senior year even tho I never showed up

There's no reason to have an F. It sounds to me like you're blaming your parents for your taken away PRIVILEGES. Sorry dude, all this blame falls on you. And btw, I took Geometry before high school too.
