all this christian-mainstream rock is really bad IMO, i forgot which singer had a class action suit against him because he got too drunk to remember his lyrics but that is so hypocritical it amazes me

and that really must be showing my age too

yes, i realize it wasnt a rage origional, it was off the cd Renegades, which were tribute songs.. maggies farm-dylan etc etc...

the fact is, they tried to cover the rage version, saying how rage inspired them (i dont know where he pulled this out of, since they sound nothing alike) etc etc. i took offence to it it was so bad

            I remember hearing about that...

And they're not Christian Rock. FYI.

Switchfoot is awesome, and they're considered Christian rock.

I still love the "Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame" album...listening to it right now, in fact...so thanks.

P.S. I say "Danny Lohner's old band" because that's how I found them, me being a huge Trent Reznor fan and all...

Ah, damn... I didn't catch it. Ya, I love them. My dad knows all of them... Wish they were still around. But hey, now it's another one of those obscure bands I can show off to my friends.

And I as well am a huge Reznor fan :) I have some cool stories, including:

My mom and dad knew him on a somewhat personal level
                          my mom saved his dog
my dad had an opportunity to play with NIN.

Squid, I never knew you had a decent taste in music.

However, you did forget Alexisonfire. If that was a mistake, ok. If you don't know of them.. wtf are you waiting for?

I'm actually listening to them now, I know I missed a lot of bands there.

Of course I listen to awesome music, everything about me rocks. One day i'll post up some of my bands work. If you like Alexisonfire, I think you will like our stuff.
