Ghost of Tom Joad was orginally done by Bruce Springsteen, not by rage....

however, I haven't heard the Nickleback version so I can't really comment - but the Bruce Springsteen version is a bit poo (I'm a brit!)

and that really must be showing my age too

yes, i realize it wasnt a rage origional, it was off the cd Renegades, which were tribute songs.. maggies farm-dylan etc etc...


the fact is, they tried to cover the rage version, saying how rage inspired them (i dont know where he pulled this out of, since they sound nothing alike) etc etc. i took offence to it it was so bad

Assuming you mean Danny Lohner's old band, then it's Skrew with a 'k'. (I know, how original) But more importantly, you're only the second person I've ever seen mention them. I still love the "Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame" album...listening to it right now, in fact...so thanks.

Ah, damn... I didn't catch it. Ya, I love them. My dad knows all of them... Wish they were still around. But hey, now it's another one of those obscure bands I can show off to my friends.

I'm actually listening to them now, I know I missed a lot of bands there.

Of course I listen to awesome music, everything about me rocks. One day i'll post up some of my bands work. If you like Alexisonfire, I think you will like our stuff.
