Just making a new thread incase anyone else got WoW or any thoughts/ideas about the current things in Wow (such as the Battlegrounds attachment coming in the Future, current patches, and any cool add ons you have found)

I must have stopped around level 12 in Beta or something, I don't understand how I didn't get addicted then like I almost am now. I've been having a lot of trouble with some of my missions lately, all ones where you have to lead someone with low health out of a place or somebody follows you. It's impossible for my pet to pull the baddies off of them.

No complaints with end game, I love running the dungeons and runnign around killing people. Battlegrounds will be fun.

What I can't tolerate is the ridiculous lag and constant crashes taht make my character sometimes unplayable.

Any of you play Diablo II LOD???Hmm server crashes alot..prolly too many people D2 has that problem soemtimes that and when to many people are runnin bots from what im told.

Cool cool. I hope to get a better Vidoe car/ more ram/ better connect to cut down on the lag...

...other than that the game rocks....it just sucks that we all are on different servers (BTW i lvl'ed both my characters so Achillesmon is 49 and BombTrack is 27)

I tried the test server for Pvp Honor/ battlegrounds...I cannot really judge it since i was only on for about an hour and i don't exactly know how much honor= what rank...

Loved D2 even though it was a hack-fest. Never touched PvP because of that.

Mal'Ganis is where the majority of the SA forum guys are and consequently Mal'Ganis is (I think still) the only place where Hoard outnumbers the Alliance. Oh well.. at least it allows us to more handily slap down the 80% of the Alliance that is either a night elf rogue or a pally.

I would be on more often if I was not so busy all the time . Uusally on around 10pm PST-4amPST any day. I just don't sleep anymore. It's simpler. Running MC again tonight

Yes the hacks are horrible...people auto aim and scroll so horrible but still good at times.
Ive been wanting to try out WoW..whats it like..the gameplay..ive been told like command and conquer but not new age. So do you have individual char or like a army kinda??

Used to. Had (and still have) a lvl 87 Pally, lvl 85 Pally, lvl 80 Sorc, lvl 72 Barb...must i go on?

WoW is in simple terms an MMORPG that is not as slow as some of the older classics like Dark Age of Camelot or EverQuest but offers IMO, a refined RPG that Diablo 2 should have been.

You are in charge of 1 character like D2 but there are 2 main "sides" Hoard vs Alliance. Each side has 6 races to choose from each with their own racial bonuses and appearance. You skill up you character both in levels and combat skills but also in up to 2 trade skills and various other tangential skills.

The thing about WoW that D2 could not make happen is that, while you CAN play the game by yourself (and reach lvl 60) there is a great benefit to working with groups of player to complete quests. Unlike D2 where you could rush yourself up to lvl 85-90 and complete any quest with relative ease, many (if not most) quests necessitate a group of players (and variety actually help in Wow).

Some of the higher level quests even require 40 person raids just to complete. So the game can still be played by yourself, but working with a group will allow you to find much better items and level up faster.

It's such a large game that there are what... 36 servers now? Some are PvP where you can kill anyone and anything (that is the fun/risk) some are PvE (no real person to person fighting) and some are.... furry...erm I mean Role Playing servers.... we won't go there though.

The turn offs for me where the $$ per month thing they want, but what brought me around was this bit of info. Remember how in D2 you have to check your character every 90 days or its bye bye to your lvl 99 barb? I HATE that. I keep all my old D2 characters alive because I like to hop on now and then. I KNOW that I will burn out of Wow for a bit at some point. I dont want to have to keep paying every month just to keep him alive!

Turns out you dont have to . If you dont pay, you just cannot play with the charicter(s) the account lasts forever but you can pay for the time you want to play and then stop. like that, Ill pay for that. Besides they actually keep the hacks and bugs down since Blizz is getting mad bank off the monthly income.

So I like it. It's more of what I liked in D2 and unlike D2 I will PvP. I liked the idea in D2 but with Ith blades, wiz gloves, Hex charms and all that other crap, I was not about to give some 13 year old eBay kid the satisfaction of killing me.

Had just about every item but God or Grand Father, that nasty sword. Had Full Tal Rasha set, all the best MF gear, best rare rings possible pre nukage of stats, pre 1.08 uniques that rocked, everything you can imagine, I had it.

Before I quit I was working on my Javazon to 99. She could solo anywhere. Got bored with being uber at the game.

I still have all 34 of my characters. 4 are lvl 99, 10 others are 90+ and the rest are 50+ I just stated collecting stuff for the sake of having it. The game got kinda stupid insane with with the 1.10 runwords. perfect sup eth BOTD Berzerker Axes and Enigma armor... sigh it's cool but kinda insane.
