If you get a saturn, get an old SL2, not an SL1.

I had an SL2 and it was great. I miss that car. SL1, on the other hand, is a piece of crap. At 2400 lbs and 125 hp, the SL2 has enough quickness to keep you from getting pissed off but isn't fast enough to kill yourself in. Plus it handles rather well, and you can still pack the friends in since its a four door.

If you get a saturn, blow it up.

My Saturn lasted 114,000 miles without any major mechanical problems, and in fact held up like a champ when I beat the crap out of it. It had maybe 6" of ground clearance, and I drove it through fields. I actually got it airborne on more than one trip over railroad tracks near my house. If you hit anything at low speed, there will be NO damage due to the fact they are made outta rubbermaid. And, when you get mad at the car, you can kick it.

This alone makes me of the opinion they are great cars for teenagers, who are likely to drive like idiots and hit things and won't have much money for repairs.

My roomate had an old SL2, we blew it up. But since they are made of rubber, the explosion maxed out then bounced back and became an implosion creationg a black hole.

Everything in those cars, short of the body & the engine, falls apart. Just personal experience.

Edit: Heh, they really are great for hitting jumps though hehe...

I don't know how I never exploded my transmission or engine, or the suspension, considering how I drove. They are the Timex of automobiles. Cheap and plastic, but they definitely take a beating.

tranny fluid line burst, tranny fluid all over the car, after about 20 minutes i guess, the tranny overheats and ignites the tranny fluid with us in the car. FLAAAMING INFERNO!

lol. nobody was hurt. we proceeded to blow the rest of the car up later that week, even though i fixed the tranny line and put more fluid in it and it still ran lol. God we hated everything about that car, especially the fact that it wouldnt die... I think it was planning to kill US before we could kill IT..

Mine aint turboed so shes very slow but it gets me from point a-b as CHEAP as possible. I average 45mpg city with it and even better on the higway. I bought the car around 4-5months ago for under $1000CDN and have not put any money into it other than a battery and valve cover gasket oh and a two oil changes.

But the real fun comes from the 1.9 Turbo Diesels in the 1990 and newer VW Golfs and Jettas. my brother has a 2003 that is slightly moded and the thing simply FLIES. He has a chip in it a exhuast and intake and a few HOME GROWN mods. The car is QUICK and even better has gotten a BEST of 60mpg on the highway. Its a FUN car to drive and is surprizingly comfortable.

No dout that a Diesel VW is the BEST chioce for a GREAT car no matter on age and experiance.

Number one, you broke tables. Number two, posting pictures like that is a no-no.

                        Goddamn, you're stupid.
