To be optimistic, at least your baby isn't during it's first few months. That could have been a bit worse,

Your kids, although young I would assume are mature enough to understand that they will not be tended to their needs as they used to be. With someone in and out of hospitals, taking weird medication and not having free health care over there, your lifestyle will be alot different..

That was the first thing that came to my mind, after that, I just don't know what to say,,,

I agree with Load. The happier she is, the more optimistic she thinks you are, the better she'll probably feel. It's not going to be easy, but an 88% survival rate is very good odds. You and your family are in my thoughts.
