AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I can't believe there are people on tv still saying that the state had just killed an innocent man.
As far as I'm concern we should use the death penalty more often. Its costing way too much to keep these people in prison. What really amazes me is how all the stupid actors and celebrities were backing him up as if he was some kind of hero. That was really disgusting to watch. Did they forget the man murdered 4 people in cold blood?

You do realize under the current system it costs more to execute someone than it does to house them in general population for life right? That is of course including all the automatic appeals. The cost of not having those appeals is a high chance of executing an innocent person, so I'm not sure if theres a good trade off there.
/Pro capital punishment
//Too cheap to strongly support it under the current system.
"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its not" - Dr Suess
Right up until the moment he was executed, one of the primary arguments advanced to spare Tookie Williams' life was that he had reformed himself into a children's book author who was spreading the word against gang violence.
But it turns out that Tookie's word didn't get spread very far.
According to the web site BlackNews.com, the Crips co-founder's first book in 1997, titled "Gangs and the Abuse of Power: Tookie Speaks Out Against Gang Violence" - sold a grand total of 330 copies.
Normally, when book sales for first-time author are that dismal, publishers aren't exactly beating a path to his door in hopes of snagging the sequel.
But somehow Tookie got another book deal - and in 1999 he wrote: "Gangs and Wanting to Belong."
According to Black News, however, sales were even worse for Tookie's follow-up effort - with just 2 copies sold to date
How much good was he really doing?
Even if he was able to reach a wider audience in other ways... Do you REALLY think that the kind of person who embraces the gangster lifestyle is going to be persuaded against it? With words? And books? And speeches?
If they privatisd the whole death sentence issue, we could make it much cheaper...sure it would resemble China, but it would be cheaper and without the child labor in sweet shops.

I really want to think you're trolling, but I don't.
Kai:
Now that one I'm ok calling out.

No, they did not forget. They purposely ignored it for their own disgusting personal 15 minutes.
