      Low Voltage Electrician/Tech

      I install and troubleshoot fire and alarm panels, phone systems, data and cabling, distributed audio/video, cctv, home automation. Basically any type of control device that runs at 110V or below. Lucky for me mostly DC stuff below 24V.

      In these paranoid times and being a "wired" age its pretty secure.

            I am an Electronics/Instrumentation Tech at a Paper Mill here in Rome, GA. We take trees, grind them up, and make brown paper stock.

                  Full-Time: Tape Opt. and assistant editor for a post house (www.postfactory.com) in Orange County. I work on commercials and TV shows. We make commercials for Disney, Pizza Hut, Del Taco, and many other companies. Most of the time I just watch TV.

                  Weekends: I work at Hollywood Sports Paintball Park as a head ref. and private group cordinator. If you ever want to have a birthday party at Hollywood Sports then I'm the guy to talk to.

                  Freelance: I edit and shoot videos for weddings, promos and other random videos. Also I'm web designer for several websites. www.rossgunniv.com

                  Free-Time: Sell guns and gear on AO for the last 5 years or more...

                        You must be fortunate enough to live somewhere that illegal labor hasn't destroyed the pay scale. I used to be half of a remodeling buisness with my father. Within a period of 5 years our "hourly" equivalent went from well over $20 an hour to down around 10-15 IF we were lucky. It actually got to the point where mexicans would bid the job cheaper than we could get materials.

                        ...nothing against mexicans, just stating a fact.

                              Network Admin/Programmer/IT support for an engineering firm, I'm the one man IT team. Most of the time I'm coding, the rest is support and network maintenance. I also do some freelance at-home computer support and sales.
