your spending how much on a PS3? buy a mag and some paint and go outside for a damn change. the gaming industry has turned the average kid to a zombie. don't get me wrong i think it's amazing how fast kids can pick up things but on the other hand, they lose their albity to be creative. it's not all the gaming industry fault. more of that lies in the parents. the days of family time are slowly dying away because of the way Americans have to have the latest gadet. Latest gadet = cost money = more time at work = less time with family. no wonder why we have such a high divorce rate.shoot you later
i play for the game not the fame.

games = reason for high divorce rate?
of course that has nothing to do with people not getting along right or making rash decisions?
lets look at many of the thousands of teenagers that play paintball that are given 1k+ markers and are constantly fed money to play by their parents. is it not the same? their parents have to work longer hours to end up with the same amount they would have had.
in fact, think of how much more money is required to maintain a hardcore paintball playing kid than a hardcore gamer kid.
you are blaming the parents and kids for the loss of their "creativity." (which is not true by the way, many games are produced to increase this, and many even treat disorders like ADD and are clinically proven).
just as alot of people are addicted to having the newest games, people are addicted to having the newest paintball gear (which will end up being alot more money).
who knows, maybe one day the new "family table" will be around a Wii (i know that is their marketing campaign, but i intend on trying it
)
sorry for the hijack, i would offer up retail value because its comming down soon enough anywayLast edited by Glickman; 11-21-2006, 10:28 PM.

in addition to that... I find that modern consoles are offering as good of control through the controller as a PC offered. Ever played Gears of War? It has some of the best charactar control of any 3rd person shooter.Originally posted by gibbyYep! Which is the same reason why I haven't played a PC game for at least 2 years. Trying to stay on top of PC gaming is just way out of control. Maybe when I used to play games 8+ hours a day it'd be worth it. But when you only play about 1-2 hours every other day, that $500 or so bucks is easier to deal with. Not to mention the comfort of sitting in your comfortable couch with your legs kicked up, playing on your widescreen tv.
Traditionally, PCs have offered better graphics and control... but as of recently, this next console generation has caught up with PC gaming.Comment
