      Refrain from what?

Not really interested unless he has a natural finish with tortoise pick guard OLP he can get to me for $100. I work at Guitar Center so I can get most of my equipment for cheap.

here are my drumz! (get ready for some pics!)

well, it's a 6-piece (8" tom not shown) pacific kit, w/ 16" paiste PST crash, 16" paiste 502 (discontinued) medium crash, 20" zildjian Z0-custom ride, 14" paiste 502 (discontinued) hats, 16" wuhan china, ludwig steel shell "rocker" 14" snare, pacific hardware, and pearl pedal. It's a pretty decent kit for 600$ + zildjian ride, and 16" crash. I've been drumming for 5 years now and I got this kit 1 and 1/2 years ago. It's great for my at-home set. The set I play at my church is a 7 piece pearl masterworks, w/ my cymbals, plus some sweet A custom hihats. some setup info:

My home setup is a spur off of vinnie paul's setup, mostly tom influenced w/o double bass, cymbal placement is my own ideas. here is a pic of one of his kits:

I actually got to play on one of vinnie paul's kits (remake) at an expo show, along w/ kits from mike portnoy, joey jordison (love his kit), neil peart, etc... I loved vinnie paul's setup, and joey joridison's setups the best, so at home I have a set based on vinnie paul, and at church a joey jordison inspired set (w/o wikken stars, double bass etc... it's a church for crying out freakin loud). here is one of joey's set's that is similar (tom placement not cymbal) to the one I play at church:

the toms w/o the double bass, no side snare (would be cool) crashes and ride are similarly placed. you get the idea.

PS GREAT THREAD!!!! nice idea and a great place to talk about drums.

SPIKEBALL: NICE SET MAN! LOVE DW, though I love "truth" brand drums, sound best IMHO.

Thanks for the compliments, Don. I love my set. I'm getting a Pacific CX for shows though. The custom companies are nice. If this next tour goes well and gets a good response, I'm going to try for a couple endorsements. No harm in trying right?

You have the same hi-hats as my first good cymbals. They served me well.
Your set isn't bad either, but it doesn't look like a Pacific. It's got Yamaha style tom arms and lugs instead of the Pacific oval. The only series that Pacific has 'cocktail' lugs on are the EZ series, which don't come in those sizes.

Come on! I know there's more drummers out there.

the kit is now around 4 years old, and I was surprised by the hardware myself, it is really nice for a pacific. here are some closer pics of the hardware, it's got the older pacific logos:

              just a bit closer:

and the lug patterns are the older style, before pacific tried to make thier lugs look more like DW's but in an oval shape instead of round:

and another example of the old pacific logo on my hi-hat pedal:

The kit including all hardware is pacific and very nice for my pricerange.

LENNY: thanks alot, I play drums more than I play paintball, it's my other hobby. I guess I betterz at teh drumz, tan I at paintballz.

You got Throwdown on yer guitar? Schweet.

That looks pretty similar to the one I'm building.

Still, drums over guitars for me anyway.

To be honest, they were at the concert I went to, (Sounds of the Underground a few years back) and after getting backstage, I was talking to a fellow who played for them. I didn't know he did at the time. He asked if he could sign it, and while I wasn't a fan of the band, he seemed coll enough. Plus he got me in with DevilDriver, Opeth, And some others. Through him I got to meet Dino Cazares, And Stephen Carpenter, among some other awesome people.
