AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.

Im gonna have to say no, you will find that grenades are really pointless. Especially when playing speedball. If we do have a tournament type thing, then they definitely wont be allowed.
I'll unleash the fury that is viking if a grenade lands in my bunker. Be warned. ps i could get all the footage from this edited, music added, make scenes and stuff for like 35 bucks from my friend who edits videos for skateboarders and anyone that needs that type of work. its just an offer at least and a dollar from each person could pay for the entire editing process.

I'm pretty sure Curly and MrMag do it as a hobby type thing, and they could do it for free:) And Mike, that made my day.

Well I won't say taht you cannot bring them (Ill check though) but I thinnk and can see fromt he aggressive reactions that grenades will NOT be an every game component. Bring them if you like but we will arrange which games are ok to use them in. Sound ok?

I think that there are about 5+ people right now who seem quite interested in editing. I, myself have made several movies and I think that a large % of you do the same and would have more fun doing the editing yourselves.
To that end I suggest this: I WILL be making a DVD and CD combo of the event regardless of whoever else would like to or is paied to it. I will not be taking orders or preorders of it but wen I complete it I will tell you and distribute it at cost of the media.
Now some of you may not fully realize what it means to be editing an event like this. Assumming that we have even 1/2 of the number of cameras out here that I am reading about show up and assuming that most of the day is filmed we are probably looking at:
8-20+ hours of footage.
Now full uncompressed video is approx 12.5gigs per hour imported so that means you will be needing a minimum of 100gigs+ of available disk space just to work with it all.
I mention this because some of you in the past have asked for footage of other AO Days (as though they were like Mp3's and could be thrown on CD). If you want this footage you will have 2 challenges:
1- You will have to get ahold of all the different tapes and different formatts that people will bring to the AO Day (everything from Mini DV to hi8 and all that good stuff).
2- You cannot assume that you can just borrow the tapes because there will be many other people interested in doing the same thing. This means that you either have to:
A. make a copy of the tapes at AO or
B. import them all onto a computer HD so you can edit all that at home. This means that you have to have 8-20+ hours (however much video we have) availble just to GET this stuff.
I will be bringing a laptop and snatch up all the video and photos taken on Saturday evening from those who will let me.
Again, I will not stand in the way of people wanting to make various videos and I will be happy yo help in any way I can. Just be aware and prepare for what you want to do.

Hey guys I need some help. The person whom I'm attempting to buy the X-mag off of will only take money transfer via western union. Is there any kind of safe guards that are in place just in case of fraud? I really want this deal to go through. And I'm getting one heck of a deal. For a never used gloss black X-mag. Better than the one bought for $800 that was posted in the PB talk forum.

Rock on. Lets get together on this one and see what we can setup. I MAY have a spot for us Vegas folk to crash. I have to get some more info first though.

If I remember correctly, Ryan (SteelRat) works for the US postal service with fraud or something along those lines.
DO NOT DO WESTERN UNION!!!!!!! There was a scam a little while back where someone advertised xmags on here, then insisted on payment via western union. Needless to say, they never got their guns. I can find the link if you need it. Western union is great for fraudsters, because there is little you can do to track where the money went. Often, the fraudsters will pressure you by offering the gun at an amazingly good deal. You just need to ask yourself if the potential for a good deal is worth the potential loss.
