It looks like I'll be sporting a new marker up here as well. Nothing special or fancy like some other's markers (not going to say names ) but completely new to me, and hopefully like the last small AO meet I went to, some of you guys can help me with it :)

Ok here's a little update on my deal for an Xmag. As mentioned before the other party wanted the money via western union. After some haggling he proposed this; tell me if this makes some sense because I've never done anything like this before. And on top of that, the dude lives in the UK. So here's his last reply.

here is how we will do: i will send the gun now with UPS COD and you will have to send the money in the same time.When UPS contact you to confirm my shipping of the gun you will have to provide them the western union money transfer infos and when u receive the gun u will have to give me th western union infos so i can pick up the money.ok?

Yes I am suscpicious. Not only because of the Western Union thing, but for the fact that the price for the Xmag (never used) is $520.

If you want to chance it, do UPS COD and have a cashier's check waiting, inspect the goods before you give UPS the check.

The fact that he says hes in the UK makes me very sketchy about the whole thing. Did you by any chance get his name? These are the names ive found so far on the net that have to do with paintball scams from the UK or Spain. Danelio Darsar, Marc Tito, Maik Lore. Also, all the things ive heard about scams involving paintball is persistance on Western Union and they are from the UK or Spain selling overseas. Its too good to be true in my opinion

Not to mention the obvious point that COD stands for cash on delivery. You would pay UPS when it shows up. This sounds about as bogus as it gets.

That guy can pick up the money from western union at any time, he wont need you to give the "ok." If he is in such a rush, why is he insisting on western union, delaying the whole thing so long a check would already have been there? This whole thing has "rip off" written all over it. Since he is in the UK, you will not be able to file any sort of charges against him if it goes south.

Try this: tell him you will pay him $600 if you do it via an escrow service, AND you will pay the escrow fee. If he was willing to screw around with this for so long, whats a week or two longer, especially if more money is involved?

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. This sounds like a total scam.

I am new to automags.org so i dont know any of you but I am frequent on pbnation. i live right out by the place where this is being held at. i also have been playing at this field since i had my little tippmann 98. i dont know what all is going down but i need some dates so i can pull my team together and get them headed in the right direction. I need to know if this is more than a 1 day event and if it is unlimited paint (we usually play with just 200rnds so it is more competative). my mom has a HUGE 2 story house so anyone who wants to crash out and buy munchies to cook and want to clean their stuff here and get ready is welcome to but i might want to check with her before 30000000000000000000000000 people come wanting to crash out or something. lol. if anyone has the information of the dates and the other info just pm me here or at pbnation (same name!) because i really want to attend! this sounds like a blast guys hope to see you out there.
