Dry Paint and Warp Feed Problems

    AO Research Team,

We have had on and off reports of Advantage dry paint not working well in the Warp. We have received additional information that it may be related to particular colors. It could be that some colors are running smaller than others and the wheels don't grip it tight enough. There is an easy fix for this by adding a layer of tape to the rim of the Warp's wheel hub. Before we get into all that, I would like to get some reports on dry paint colors and if they worked or not.

    Thanks Team!!

Actually I just used that colour and brand, BigBall, this weekend and it ran fine in my warp/timmy. The only problem I had was that it was crap paint and didnt fly straight.

Ill look for some of that paint, advantage, locally and see what happens.

        The Paint is no good!

7000 Rds of Polar Ice Green 2 weeks ago and Not 1 single broken ball out of the new Emag, or the Kids' Warped Retro Mag. It worked flawlessly! I have ALL my dwell jumpers on for the shortest afterspin. Works perfect. We will dispell the myth of it not working with the new shell after Sunday.

I used big ball at a tournament yesterday, gray with white fill and it worked flawlessly not even a break down the barell.

Although, the warp couldn't spin past it.

I've also used several kinds of PMI Premiums, blue orange, black and white i think, black and blue, maybe a couple others, and also green marbs.

The only feed problems i've had is when the warp runs out of batts.

My typical brand is either ElTigre or Slam Ball ... havent used either since getting the warp ... anyone here use those and seen any problems?

Just the opposite! MY RPS slam smallbore jams my warp up, the discs don't slip past it. My warp discs get half full then the motor just stops.

I used marbs that are green with black stripes and PMI Premium that is Red and Yellow. It work fine. Fed all the time and the wheels had no problem slipping (the dwell is at it's highest setting). BTW, I'm using a 9v battery for power.

                  Update:

I have some really small orange paint (the free stuff from predator) and it works fine in the warp; the wheels grip enough and slip enough. I also found some pink advantage shelled paint (don't know exactly what). The wheels will NOT slip by this stuff. They grip it hard and won't slip. Hope that helps.

I've gone through like 2 or so cases of pmi premium with a orange/white shell with white fill, not a single break... no warp problems either

I'm gonna get a warp this weekend, and I'll shoot a case of polar ice through it then and post the results. I've also got some anarchy so I can compare it.

I just wanted to brag about how I'm finally getting a warp.

well first time out with my warp this past sunday...
was fpo rps/pmi pruple/white break white with the advantage shell.....

i had to change out the battery after a game (probly only 800 shots through the warp) when during the game i went to reprime the warp and the wheels did not spin... but when i fired it and the paint left in it could move it worked fine.... there was probly 3 balls in contact with the wheels and 2 or 3 that had just entered the warp body.... granted these made it over to the stack to the marker w/o me suffering a chop/break in my breach.....

EDIT also after that game i put a new battery in primed the warp and once full it start to slow down a little right away...

i have seen that others suggest the use of some vieggie oil.. so i guess i'm stuck to using that untill a better fix if any comes out

I had problems with Advantage White shell Yellow fill in my warp. Other types of advantage don't work so well either. I get jamming in the warp right at the diverter plate. I 'hit' the side of the warp and it unjams. What I also notice is that while the warp and tube are about full, my discs stop, the belt slips on the brass spindel and makes a squeeky sound. With the warp discs not 'slipping' past the balls, I loose the warps' ability to prime the paintballs properly..
I have tried making the gap between the discs bigger and rubing paint on the inside of the wheels, and still the discs don't slip past a fully loaded warp.
i'd like to see future versions of warp feeds with chain belts or gears to drive from the motor to the main gear pully.. then we'll see who can't slip by

Well all I use is bigball I have shoot at least a case of every color since I got my warp and I have not had a single problem with it. I have had a problem with flash it was orange shell, orange fill the warp was not catching and It turned into a blender.

I had some PMI Premium, at least I think that's what it was..

Anyway it was orange and blue shell with orange fill.

                              It seemed to feed fine.
