AND when i had my adrenalin i played with that thing everyweekend for 3 months and NEVER had to recharge it, the new wdp ni-whatever battery is very nice, i just hate it when people harp on the battery thing, i mean if your planning on going paintballing the next day your gonna charge your gun, unless your a dumb a$$

i just think that the "manuel mode" is just like all of the angels modes that everyone says is usless

but thats my opinoin and im sure you all disagree being that its an automags forum

I guess it's time for me to jump in here. The major thing I want to point out about this thread is that you see both sides of the issues. The info here, while being biased towards Mags (thanks), obviously supports the Angel side as well. I don't think anyone reading this thread sees an "all Mag" attitude.

This is what separates this forum from most of the others. When you ask a question here you don't get flames you get lively debate that covers all sides of the issues. This makes me very proud to be part of this group of people.

From my technical perspective most of the issues have been presented. Angles for the most part work pretty darn good. It's not easy to keep most of the pro players happy these days. Yes they do have velocity fluctuations at high speeds and this tends to be overlooked by most people. We experienced the same thing when the early mags had drop off. For the first few years no one cared or even noticed, then it became a huge issue and we had to develop the RT valve. If the velocity fluctuations are the Angels weak point it could easily be argued ball breakage is ours.

We have technical expertice on the inside they certainly have techincal expertice on the outside with the looks and the marketing. Before WDP no one thought you could sell a 1000+ dollar gun. They had the kohonas to think they could and they sure followed through.

I must say WDP has really been a great competitor. They go their own road, they don't diss or copy people, they don't try to push their competitors around they just put out a fine high end product wrapped in a good show.

Are you ever going to see research graphs from them? Probably not. Are you ever going to see Angel Heavens from us? Probably the same answer.

My response remains as it always has been, if you hang around this sport long enough you will own both guns, so we don't care which one you buy first. I can personally thank WDP for pushing AGD into the electonic revolution, upping the bar on what we have to do for looks and making sure we do as much right as possible by hanging out here.

With that said make not doubt about it that the Angels market share is in our sites. They have a disproportionately large part of the market (we would like some back please). You can expect that both companies will lead with what they do best. R&D from us, looks and features from them. Right now you debate between the two, I will predict that in the future they will have such different feature sets there will be much less debate. If you want a super fast shooting gun a Cocker is not usually on the pick list.

I will close by saying I'm thankfull AGD continues to be part of the debate.

Thanks for all the help everyone, both have their advantages as well as disadvantages. I guess it is really just a matter of preference, you gotta shoot both to really see which one you like more. MAG owners will say E-MAGS are better ANGEL owners would say angels are better. I owned an emag loved it but chopping was an issue. Shot an angel liked it but didn't like the thought of owning an angel, just wasn't me. I like to be different.

It is quite ironic, now I am over both guns and my next marker will be a matrix. :)

E-mag. Angels are very overrated, I am trying to get a good vision impulse right now to use because my angel is always going down. It went down the second time I used it. Then it did it again, and now the I cant get the trigger to stop bouncing. Angels are light, but who needs a featherlite gun? Not me, I think I can stand carryin a few pounds around for 10 minutes. I have become very biased against angels though, so maybe my vote shouldnt count.

It is not only about the battery going down! Who here has not seen a Angel go down not because of the battery but because the board cooked off. I have seen several angels go down during tournaments because of a board that failed. If a board fails on an Emag switch
to manual and continue to play. Not so with an Angel!
That being said an Angel is still a great marker.
But I still like Mags. And in the near future will an own an Extreme Emag.

IMO, I like Emags. Angels are good too, but I would really need to own one or play a tourney to get the really feeling for an angel. I have a Cocker right now. I had and Emag that I won from here, until I found out that I was a poor kid and couldn't afford to shoot it. Well let me tell you if I had all the money that I have now, I would still have that. I've made up my mind though. After this Season Im going to pick up another EMAG. I really want a modular emag, but also I thought SFL as well. Either way Im going to get one, it's just going to me cooler.

remember 2 years ago when this was a cocker mag debate?? the cocker guys think that with free flows and race frames they have finally won, but they are wrong tom delivered us the E-mag now we have hands down conquered the cocker fools and it is on to the last great foe...the ANGEL ::insert heavenly noise:: this may be our hardest fight yet, but im sure we can cut threw the years of hype with our facts...with the extreams and ACE we can beat the chopping issue and go on to take a battle. BUT THAT IS JUST A BATTLE, there will be many in our holy crusade. for all you out there doubting never forget our past victorys and that it is our destiany to be on the top NO COCKER NOR ANGEL SHAL STAND IN OUR WAY
Tom was the last of a now extinct breed, a breed of players who build a community, a breed of owners who gave to the sport never taking more than what they deserved. I hope to see you at the feild again some day....

I like the Angel over the E-mag for a few reasons:

The trigger ont he Angel rules. Its a lighter gun. It doesnt chop( my friend zach's 2001 Dark Angel with warpfeed and halo).

The emag trigger is nice but the angels is better. They are a bit higher pressure and they chop some.

very good choice that is one sweet gun. not flashy but very fast and consistant, plus no breaks so you'd be set.

well ok here is the problem i have with the statment of reliability, ive had 3 angels, and NEVER had any problems with them, so this board problem your talking about must be on some other make of angels, ive owned a fly2, adrenalin, and stock, they have all worked perfectly, so i dont know where this problem of reliability comes from, i would trust any angel iev had any day over any gun, i just think that alot of people say things that they might of "heard" because my adrenalin had over 60k on the counter and still ripped
                          just my thoughts

I have owned an angel. Loved it to death. Did not see a thing wrong with it. Never chopped, accurate. Nothing ever went wrong with it. I have not got a chance to shoot an emag so I couldn't compare it. Btw, when i sold my angel i was planning on getting the sfl emag. But...time was running out and I only had a $1k to spend. So, bought a shocktech autococker with gen-x reg and boomstick with it. Awsome peice of equipment. Anyway, ther we go.

look yall put way too much into your guns, jesus christ, yall make it sound like your trying to take over the world, a gun is a gun(except talon...) ya know the M3 gun(sniper black dragon... well i played w/ M3 factory team at the rebel open and shot there M3 gun, and it retail for like $100 or somin and guess what, it shoot good enough, so stop *****in, i swear if ya give me any type of electro, cocker.. i'll use it and have no problem. yall need to under stand that a gun doesn't make the player.
if ya ask any other high end player that a gun is a gun he'll agree(unless he's tryin to promote his sponsor...)

look at adrenaline, they used to shoot angels, now they are shooting impulses, and guess what they don';t care, there doin in for there company, ssame as GZ silver, GZ, and hell bad company got 4th at world cup shootin spyders.

if your buyin a gun buy it cause you like it, your comfortable w/ it, not cause your best friend sayd his RT can do 26 bps w/o drop off, or your brothers angel can shoot 20 bps...

Look who is talking...Look at all the sweet a** guns you have.....2 dark angels, a shocker, two cockers, vision impy, and a micromag, I am sure I am missing some..lol...

I do not think anyone buys there guns for the sole reason of showing off to their friends, although it is a nice perk to hear all those ooohs and aaaahs, its not the basis for choosing a gun. Like you said YOU have to be comfortable with your marker, thats totally true. But in order to truly pick the right one, some background information and opinions never hurt.

PS- You mind sending me a couple of your markers, you probably won't even know they are gone. I will put them to use and care for them like no other.
