I'd say the upper range should be $475-$525. No more than that. A great price would be $425. With the A-5 around $275-$289, I think scenario people would be willing to spend the extra $150 for the Mag, unless they are starving artists. As has been said before, scenario players enjoy spending money on the cosmetics of the gun just as much as upgrading internals. Give them a top-of-the-line marker straight off, and they'll be happier. In other words, DON'T scrap the LX or X-valve. Tom has pretty much the right idea with his current layout.

That said whatever you do, Tom, for the love of Mike, DON'T take the X-Mag route and choke off the supply. I'd actually like to go to a field near me and SEE one being used when they come out.

The Tac One? Grandpa always talked about seeing one once in the Florida Everglades. But that was in 1940.

Just tossing my .02 into the ring.

I haven't yet read the whole thread but I'll toss in my two cents.

Just so you know where I am coming from, I have a WGP Orracle, an Emag, 2 98's and an A-5. I was interested in selling just about everything with the exception of the emag and the cocker and getting a VF-tac cocker for when I play scenario, which is frequent.

If the Tac-one seems even halfway decent, which coming from AGD, I would expect, then I would certainly buy one. Seeing as how the VFT is around 600 dollars I would expect to pay that same amount for the Tac1.

Now, the reason why I do not see AGD being able to make a serious dent into the Tippmann scenario market share is simply due to quality of the product.

Volkswagen sold a heckuva lot more beetles than porsche ever sold of all models combined becuase one was made for the masses and the other was for the elite conniseur (I'll leave it to you all to figure out who the AGD customers are).

While it certainly makes sense to want to market to the masses please make sure that this is not accomplished by the use of inferior materials.

That being said, if the Tac1 could be manufactured to the high standards that I have come to expect from AGD but be marketed around the 300 - 400 hundred range I can guarantee that I will not only be selling the cocker and forgetting about a VFT but I will also probably will be getting TWO Tac1's.

Okay, now let me actually answer the originating post but I'll do it backwards (as I do most things in my life).

The best "bargain" price that would whet my chops would be starting at the 250 range and driving up into the 450 range.

It's around there that I expect most decent markers to hover.

The most I would spend for it? Depends. If it's a tough as nails marker that I will use for scenario games as well as walk on (I do not do tourneys) then I would gladly pay up too 800 if the quality was there.

When the Emag came out AGD was an unknown quantity to me but by doing some research and reading these boards I learned that AGD really puts quality in from step one. That was the key fact in flipping me off the fence and getting me to reach into my pocket.

im sure that you could price these at 350$. It honestly does NOT seem like they are expensive to manufactor. at 350$, you would be cheaper than impys and bushys, and would cost the same as the a-5, and yet, appeal to almost any category of players. rec ballers would go for this instead of a tippmann, and tourny players will buy this too as a back up or as a primary (as i would)

right now I am about to buy a used mag, but if you are going to sell these for 350$, I will wait.

Im not sure how much of a hit it would be with tourny players. Personally I wouldn't touch anything non electric, even for a backup. Yet to mess with a ULT though, it would have to be pretty nice. Anyhow I'm happy with my Dark Angel as a backup which cost me less than this TacOne will come out at.

                    OK Tom,
I don't even know if you are still reading this, but if you are here goes. First off thanks for the warp feeds and RT's donated to the MXS games this year. I am so happy to see the support for the scenario players out there. Unfortunately, (not really) My 11 yo son won a 2003 Autococker at the last game and a Blackmagic jersey and I think Worr will have his love for life.

Now about your marker. The fun guns to have right now.... ie holds up and is dependable and reasonable... is the PMI Eforce and the A-5. Say what you want about them but they are fast, dependable and easy to fix.
On the E-force, MXS has there own version.
PMI, in conjunction with Mackz Xtreme Sportz, has created a new paintball gun for the scenario players!
A special jewel imbedded on the gun tells everyone you own this collector's edition.
It is the MXS Special Edition E-Force Piranha!
                    Features include:
                    Multi-mode electronic grip frame
                    2K3 CNC milled body
                    Threaded CNC vertical feed
                    Flush cocking system
                    CNC ram air
                    CNC spiral ported barrel
DSR vertical regulator with micro gauge
                    Tool-less field stripping
                    Special Edition matte black finish
                    MXS Special Edition jewel

There are two models: manual and electronic

The MSRP is listed at $259.95 for the electronic version
If you want to take things by storm there is the price you are looking for. $260.00 and everyone will want one.
You can get a tippman A-5 for about $240.00
Extensive selection of high-quality domain names. Knowledgeable, friendly customer support.

The only really thing new to the scenario scene is the tactical cocker. You can pick one up for around $600.00
Vegas88 adalah situs live casino online resmi dan terpercaya di Indonesia. Main dengan dealer asli, sistem fair play, peluang menang besar, plus bonus sensasional yang bikin setiap meja jadi lebih seru dan menguntungkan!

And they are far from taking things by storm they are more of a wish list kind of thing.

To make it into everyones gear bag you need a price like $250.00 I don't think that is possible. The highest price I would pay for the marker I am about to live a weekend out of my trunk with and drag through the mud is $400.00
I am not sure that is possible either.

But hey at least it is honest.

I dont think Tom has to worry much, dosen't have anything too special on it to make it stand out to woods or scenario ballers.

As a scenario baller, the goal is not really to stand out. In fact that is what gets you shot. Last game I played with a phantom. I would sneek right past guys with tippmans in order to shoot the guy with the $1000.00 gun and the jersey. Maybe I am just cruel.
It is a dependable gun at a resonable price to play with in the mud. That is what stands out.

By standing out I didn't mean flashy colors or what not if you will, but maybe a darker color with less shiney jewels on it, camo maybe?, RIS rails like the Tac one and VF have, the ability to put stocks on your gun like Tippmans etc. Im sure you understand

On another note, I've only played one scenario game but the stealth, long balling skills, and tactics that scenario players rave about weren't really there. For the most part I found the younger kids and older men with Tippmans would duck and cover to the wall of paint my Nasty at the time was laying down. I was one of those guys with a yellow jersey and $1000 marker you mentioned also. The only time I got out the entire day was when I was laying a lane down out of the left of my bunker to keep a few guys down when I got bunkered by a guy with a Trix and yes wearing a jersey. Sorry no secret agents with going one ball one kill got me that day (joking).

A pic FON took of me that day, accidently I'm in the left background

Mind you this was the PBLI big game, Candain Contigent, Blues Crew and even a helicoptor.
