yeah it might not be called for. but I've been reading so much of this stuff where ppl don't care one way or the other they just wanna rag on someone and so they accuse and be-little anyone. And I'm sick of it. Maybe I need a break from all the forums n stuff. Doc your a real upstanding guy. Fighting the good fight with sp and taking on real issues. Paintball kids don't have alot of money, and so it's good that you help them save 80$ for say a nitro tank or something...but I wonder how you can stay so calm... cudos.

      Doc,

If you would like to send the body I can bring it to work,
(I work at fountin plating/ materials testing unlimited)
I can have the lab give you surface finish readings.

Jay, I think Yogi Bera summed this up with the line "If you don't know where you're going, when you get there you're lost."

Honestly, when I busted Jim Drew on the Timmy issue, a lot of people said "Jim's stuff works, why bother him?"
You didn't "bust" anything. Using a Oehler ballastics chrono (capable of measuring 4500 shots per minute, 75 per second) it CLEARLY shows that the stock Intimdiator electronics have shoot down!

Let's not get this started again - we've been playing so nice.

Whatever on the chrono. You never clearly showed anything. Post the strings - I did.

This is the first you've even ever mentioned about a chrono.

Well, since Bob and I bought fancy $1000 chronos a few months ago, I have been testing everything under the sun.

Nice. Post some strings when you get a chance. I sold my Timmy, but kept the stock board. Maybe we can start it up again at some point if I find another gun.

-It seesm to me that a chronograph can only tell you that the gun has shootdown. It can't tell you what caused it.

If the gun has airsystem-related shootdown, and you swap in a board that compensates for that, that tells me you're fiddling with the dwell "on the fly", which opens interesting doors to the same dwell-ramping (or whatever factor it is) also being used in markers that don't have the airflow restrictions.

                  Doc.

Well, common sense says that using the same gun, hopper (with new batteries in each before each test), air system, and paint, the results should be the same. When comparing the results between the Equalizer and stock boards (SOB/1.4.3), there is a clear difference. Because of the chrono, I was able to tweak the software (v3.0) for even better consistancy.

I am not "fiddling" the dwell on the fly. I welcome anyone to examine the solenoid output with an oscilloscope. The problem with the stock boards is the power supply and solenoid output. They do not come close to what is necessary - check out the parts yourself and you will see what I mean! Datasheets alone prove that the board was not built to handle the application... and real-world tests conclusively prove this fact.

                          Jim,

Have you performed similar tests on the E-mag?

No, I don't own any marker made by AGD. Not that I am against them, its just not been a priority to get one as we are not making electronics for them.

Maybe this was just a rumor, but weren't you coming out with WAS boards for almost all the major high end electros?
                              Angels, Eblades, Emags, etc.

Haven't really kept up after you came out with the WAS board for the Viking.

Angels, yes. Emags and Eblades, no. A list of what we are working on can be found on our website in the Products/Equalizer section.
