As far as the padding , just go to your local sporting goods store and buy a good pair of (baseball) slider shorts.Work really well and also cost less than paintball specific gear.
Everything that has to do with paintball costs like two or more times what it should , its rediculous.
Baseball slider shorts dont have that nut padding, tho, right?
I'd pay double for something with nut padding

I gotta say, i love my new C4 pants more then I can say. They're the first really comfortable pants I've worn in a while for paintball.

I used to wear BDU's, but i stopped because at the time i was playing rec and i was tired of wearing the same thing as everyone else. Now that I play mostly speedball I'm just wearig the same thing as most everyone else.

But the C4's are just so good, I don't care
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. Don't leave a note, you're not worth the ink. - Tyger

I wear my dye pants because they are lighter, more comfortable, knee pads, easier to slide, pockets built in for things I need, and guess what, DESIGNED specifically for paintball.

Sounds to me like people are just cheap...

personally, I'd rather give my money to a company that is involved in the paintball industry. Except for Dye. They have enough money as is. Plus my Dye pants are the suck. They have developed holes all in the knees after what I consider relatively low use. Plus they're about as comfortable as burlap.

I've been looking at other brands lately, but I havent seen Nexed around anymore... did they go back to hockey?

I use to use BDU's all the time till I was given 2 pair of JT pants. They are comfortable and longer lasting than BDU's.

I think paintball pants are definitely worth the money. I personally have 5+ pairs.

I played in BDUs for about a year straight. Tore up 4 pairs of BDU pants that way, half of them got rips down the crotch from sliding.

I use a set of Nexed pants, and they're durable. I also find them more comfortable than BDUs (and I wear a set of Raven slider shorts underneath).

Also just got a set of Smokin pants with the knee pads. Very nice. Have yet to actually play in them, but they're comfy, and don't have loud patterns/colors (mine are black/black).

The paintball specific stuff is nice tho, I like having a squeegie pocket or a pod pocket. But it's really useless stuff when you're playing stock class, nobody has EVER made a better pocket than the BDU's for holding 10 round tubes.

roller hockey pants darn u i thought i was the only one that did that. i used to play roller hockey for years and now when i get a hole on the knee of my paintball pants i patch it with the knees from old roller hockey pants. those things are tough i have even had those patches rip off before they rip themselves. tyger what type of roller hockey pants do u use?

Only problem is, the only place around here to buy BDU's, their just as expensive as some of the paintball pants you find.

Paintball pants for 120 bucks.... OR 4 pairs of BDUs for 120 bux.

                      BDU's

Dirt cheap at the local flea market, pretty durable

Dirt cheap or cheaper then dirt? 5 pair for 100.

Last year's model of these in orange, black and white. They DO film well, and they're a little more stylish than most of the stuff on the market. OTherwise I'll wear the NExed pro pants. NExed used to be a roller hockey company (and I think they still do that) so they talk durability. I'm all into that. I can't tell you how many pairs of JT and DYE pants I've seen with the knees blown out.

I wear a cup anyway, so I don't need the shorts to provide padding.
