I originally wore BDU pants, which got trashed pretty quickly. My DYE pants are MUCH MUCH MUCH more durable. Its not even a contest.

I'd consider getting a pair of black ones...:)

I'm liking DYE less and less since everyone and their mother has DYE everything...

Only problem is, the only place around here to buy BDU's, their just as expensive as some of the paintball pants you find.

(on a similar note, who can justify spending $130+ on a pair of paintball pants? COUGH*C4*COUGH)
seriously, i'd rather spend $130 on a barrel kit or something else.

I wore BDUs (woodland, tiger stripe, realtree, black) for 12 years, because I could never justify the cost of paintball branded pants ...

until I bought a pair of JT Pro-Zips.

Velcro everything pockets, elastic waist band, elastic crotch ... these things are comfortable!

I dunno where you're looking at $75.00+? Maybe stop looking at Dye crapola. You can pick up a very nice pair of pants for under $40 if you shop around.

A good investment in my book.

Plus, paintball pants have elves, so you'll shoot further and more accurately!

Well, i have my Nexed HOCKEY pants that I wear. Got them for 30 bucks almost new. And the best part is, they are EXACTLY the same as the paintball ones.

                  Gotta love it:)

I just wear some dark green walmart pants. Seriously thinking about picking up some new pants though. Last 2 times i've played I did a few knee slides (without pads) and the friction from the material took a layer a skin off.

Next purchase is knee and elbow pads

I used to play in jeans. My trick was, however, stich some neoprene in the inside of the knees and shoe-goo/stitch burlap on the outside. Durable knees, with alittle bit of padding. Always worked for me.

I'll go with cheap pb pants over BDUs for speedball, BDUs for woods.

I really don't understand how people are trashing their (BDU or otherwise) pants so quickly. I got my Swiss alpenflauge pants from CheaperThanDirt, for $4.95. At that price, I bought 2. I just started wearing the second pair last year (fits a bit better than the first pair), even though the first pair is still in very good condition (just faded a bit). I bought these BDUs back in like, '97. The ONLY thing I've done for these BDUs are iron on some patches on the knees after getting a tear in the knees.

Maybe it's the sliding technique that's trashing the pants?

I used to wear BDUs, then I discovered the ultimate paintball garb- a kilt! You get excellent ventilation and lots of bounces.
