So this is a electro frame only valve? Is it going to sell for around the same price as the autococker one probly? And the frame is going to be the expensive part? And as far as comparing the valves...the general things, recharge rate, max rps, ect...other general stuff like that.

We've been able to shoot 36bps (with no shoot down) and the cps cap is still inconclusive. The factors that affect the cps is the mass it has to move and since cocker come in different shapes and form, we really haven't been able to pin down the max cps number.
Yes the mQ will only work with an e-Frame. That's the strength of the x-valve/e-mag design which the rest of the market outside of AO hasn't given AGD the props for. I really don't see any other gun capable of the mech/electro capabilities of the e-Mags.
Efficiency, I'd say that we should have the edge on that by virtue that the burst is a lot more controlled and the mass that we will be moving will be less than that of the mags. In the cocker version, we have consistently gotten 1700 shots out of a 68/4500. That number will roughly translate to the mag version.
Additionally, since there is no sear and on/off assembly (mechanical interface) to deal with, the mQ is more forgiving when it comes to tight tolerances. So mix and matching rails and bodies to your hearts content.
At the end of the day, the Mag may turn out to be the most customizeable gun out there with the plethora of parts coming from AGD, Tuna, Nicad, Rogue, Coolhand, et al./s/ Mel C. Maravilla

Wow. When will I learn to stop posting easily workable online incarnations of my ideas?
To summarize, this will shoot faster than you can safely feed paint, or dream of pulling, will be more efficient than the mag's current design allows it to think about being, eliminate the necessity for a massive battery with marginal life, be lighter than any other current option, and completely compatible with all the mag upgradde parts we've seen.
Pred2 Morlock + mQ valve = best $250 in paintball, perhaps. With a nicad body and a vert frame, maybe a custom rail, you have a more or less optimal design.
Now if only we had a way to feed 200rounds continuously at 36+bps without sacrificing shots to a clip based system and making reloads even faster...

ok that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzyOriginally posted by PBX Ronin 23At the end of the day, the Mag may turn out to be the most customizeable gun out there with the plethora of parts coming from AGD, Tuna, Nicad, Rogue, Coolhand, et al.
super-fast, very efficient, lightweight, beautiful, customizable...everything people said a mag couldn't be
(i know, i know, technically its not a mag)
I'm just am hard pressed to find a downfall...
seriously...the only drawback i see is...(as with any electro) i'd be afraid to play in the rain
{thinks back to castle conquest XV...defending the castle in a downpour...plastic bag over the rev...retromag still ripping it up while a friends e-cocker sits back at the bunkhouse as he tries to use his mech cocker in the rain...as the 3way fills with rainwater and the backblock starts sticking back}
here's a thought...how hard would it be to switch back and forth from my retro(x)-valve and mecha frame to the mq valve and frame?
obviously the only hangup im seeing is the eye...
i suppose i could just leave it on the body(obviously unplugged)
eventually ill probably pick up another ule body...or maybe a deadlywind(oh the choices
)and a new rail...
but for now...id like to have the option to play in wet conditions without getting a new body and rail(and i dont care what anyone says...im not using an electro in the rain)Last edited by Jerhew; 02-20-2005, 12:09 PM.TheDuelist "The problem is that Tom has developed the VW Beetle of the paintball industry. Why can't you go back and forth? Keep your x-valve, sear assembly and mech frame. When it starts to get a little wet, switch back. It only takes a minute or so to do it.
Now tell me, what other gun in the market can do that with the same level of ease than a Mag....../s/ Mel C. Maravilla

i completely agree...
like i said my only concern is with the eye...
i personally have never run a breakbeam eye on a ule body
how easy is it to take off...would it cause any problems having the holes in the body where the eye would be..
or
would the eye be ok to leave on in wet conditions?TheDuelist "The problem is that Tom has developed the VW Beetle of the paintball industry. It's almost too good to change and far too reliable."

Does it take a minute for a engineer genuis to do it, or a dummy to do it?Originally posted by PBX Ronin 23Why can't you go back and forth? Keep your x-valve, sear assembly and mech frame. When it starts to get a little wet, switch back. It only takes a minute or so to do it.

Dimensionally, could you platform it to replace the CVX valve in a tippmann?
(yes, I know you'd have to redo the bolt assembly so it would actually function as a marker - I'm just interested if it'll fit.)
