AGD let us down?

First let me say this. AGD is a great compnay that has never let any of us down, truely. I'm not saying AGD is bad, I love them. Just read on.

But it seems like we all expected AGD to come out with all the new mag products, but it doesnt seem that way. We have the hAir designed by Colin at Deadlywind. I expected AGD would have come out with something, but they havent. Also, PBX, a relitivly new product manufacturing company has already design an mQ valve for our beloved Mag. There is also Blackvcg level 10 bolt polishing, which increased efficency and may have lowered the operating pressure. Also, the hyperframe, an easy solution for those who wanted an electro pull with emag lowers.

But with that being said, they have also fixed many more "problems" ULE bodies, ULT kits, intelli, etc.

Is it just me, or did any one else expect AGD to fix/develop some of these products? Is AGD just secretly developing something? Possibly they are just working on the new marker to come out in a year or two?

And how do you know this? Just because something isn't public or on the market doesn't change the fact that it may or may not be in progress. The hAir trigger isn't out yet, and who is to say it will ever be? I think due to Colin's updates and prototypes we're all presuming that it will be, but things certainly change rapidly, especially in this economic environment.

But you're claiming AGD isn't doing the same, simply because he is not advertising like Colin is. That doesn't dictate that he is or is not working on something, however, it does dictate that you are automatically accusing AGD of not stepping forth, when in reality, you don't know what is going on.

AGD said when they stated that they were discontinuing the Emag that nothing new was in the works right now. That they were just laying low. I do not blame them for this. If you think about it, they have come out with WAY more in the last two years than they have in the last 10.

I feel your pain, I too would love to see AGD come out with more stuff, but thats not the case givien the sort and all the crap associated at current time.

However, Colin had been working on this for some time now, and BlackVCG's polishing was a result of tinkering, as not all LVL10 bolts can be ploished as he done. PBX's innovation just happens to use the mag platform because it was readily available, not to mention they are using their technology they developed with their cocker.

Again, I hear what you're saying, but thing being what they are, you can't really blame AGD for taking a step back to see what happens in the industry first before proceding.

I respect you, and completely understand where you are coming from, but if there is one thing we've learned from TK over the years is that there is never a point when he's not at the very least thinking about something new. That's why he is, and always has been, the leader in paintball innovation.

Since Ive been apart of AO, I have seen alot of new stuff come out. And Im sure there is more to come, and the wait will be well worth it. Who knows whats instore for us

I still do not think AGD is thinking about paintball at all right now. I think Tom is taking a break. He is probably playing around with his other hobbies.

In the past, AGD has come out with the only upgrades that actually helped and made a difference. But now we see more people coming in developing products that greatly increase a mag's performence, and they are not made by AGD.

Creative- Maybe they are taking a step back, but is that good for business? It seems like they could have developed some of these products that others have developed.
But like Disorder said, we dont know what is in store for us...

What do you think makes Auto Cockers a good gun? To get better performance for one you need to upgrade the front block assembly and majority of time it's by after markets parts. Very rarely do you see a stock Auto Cocker. Also look at all the aftermarket parts for other guns not made by gun manufactures. So what is difference if their not all made by AGD?

The PBX is NOT a mag, it is just using a mag body and rail. It's also electronic and AGD is avoiding electronic guns until they know which direction the industry is going.

Yes, taking a step back is good for business. If it prevents you from getting sued, it is a good step.

Ya know, I am just sick of people stating AGD is not producing anything new. These people obviously were not around paintball between the years of 96 and 2000. In that 4 year period of ime AGD did not produce ONE new product. Yes this kinda hurt them at the time, but it was in their best interest. They were making good money by developing a less than lethal weapon.

who says agd isnt workign on anything? if there is something u would like to see generate some itnerest and find somone to make it a reality

AGD has come out with alot of new things. ULE Bodies, the ULT, the XVALVE, the Tac One. Tom has mentioned there are things in the work and in my opinion when he releases them they will be as ground breaking as anything AGD has come out with so far.

I guess I'm basically saying that I'm suprised AGD didnt come out with these products first. Did this merit it's own thread now that I realized this, probably not.

What exactly do you mean? Are you suprised AGD didn't come out with the products I mentioned or are you suprised they didn't come out with things like the mqvalve first? If its the latter then I don't think you know much about AGD, since they make the Mag Valve, not anything else.

AGD has come out with some amazing products and they have nothing to do with the business of autocockers.
