I agree with what Tom said 100%. The old days of paintball are gone forever because the industry has changed so dramatically from what it used to be. I started playing eleven years ago, and it was WAY different then than it is now. When this stuff with Smart Parts and their lawsuit came out I remember thinking "This is the moment it happened"...the moment when the industry and the sport hit a major snag and started to change for the worse. Don't get me wrong, I think paintball will be an active and ever growing sport for years and years to come, but that was a defining moment. That was when the landscape of the industry and the sport it supplies changed forever. Personally, I think most of the people on this board that sit and complain about new products coming out, waiting periods for products, etc. have too much free time on their hands.

You should just be happy that a company like AGD still exists in paintball, that they haven't gone under or been bought out by other people. I've always been a proponent of the Automag and AGD in general, and in some cases people have asked me "Why the loyalty?" Well, I say, it's because you don't see another company in paintball that stands by their product like AGD does. Nobody else offers the service, the assistance, or cares about your input. Here we have the only company in paintball with an owner that often talks to us, incorporates our opinions and ideas in with his business decisions, and generally CARES what we think. I for one really hope the scenario and rec market lifts AGD up and keeps them safe and making money, away from the evil gaping maw that is the corporate machine currently eating other companies up. I'd rather see AGD stay in a niche, quietly offering a great product for a fair price and supplying it's customer with top notch service than see them bow under a new owner and making a Timmy clone.

Tom, thanks for always making a damn fine marker, and really caring what I think about it. Good luck to you and your company in the future, I hope AGD thrives once again.

AGD let players down because they've not released anything new?!?

Confirmation that the majority of buyers are twits who giggle like little school girls while the merchant holds them upside down and shakes all the cash from their pockets. As long as the beads are shiny they're happy.

What great "NEW" stuff has really come out from other companies? Heck, people look at the X-Valve as a great "NEW" thing. But it isn't. It's just the RT made with aluminum.

Except for the addition of electro-frames, nothing new of note in the cocker world for decades.

If you want gadgets, frills, and the latest fashions, sure AGD has let you down. If you want quality product that does what it is advertised to do and is backed solidly by its manufacturer, AGD has NOT let anyone down.

But, then again paintball is full of idiots who clamour for product on the wildest of claims and complete lack of information...

A clarification: It had to be redesigned (to some extent) in order to be made out of more Aluminum with a stainless steel Power tube. Air passages had to be re-routed and some threading changed to do it. Its not 'exactly" just an aluminum copy of a RT valve. It involved retooling and redesign to some extent in order to achieve it.

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

thank you Tom for putting things into perspective for the people that dont see all the problems that the industry is facing.

"So go ahead and complain all you want, I am putting up bullet proof shields and waiting for the smoke to clear. We are currently working on something, reducing prices, thats something everyone likes. "

nice analogy, im thankful that your are going to wait until this all clears up. its the best decision that you can make and i stand behind you 100% on it. im personally sick of the candy store style developments that other companys come out with every week, such as the hundreds of differently named spyder markers out there which offer no difference performance wise from each other. the same is true for the timmy of the month. id rather wait years for new performance upgrades for my mags than buy a brand new electro and have it be seen as "outdated" within in a month because a new style of milling and ano has come out.

Id have to dig through the guild to find have blue's PDF copy of it, but i did save the claims to a text file. Generic PVI shocker drawings, and 4 very broad claims that depending on how you look at it, cover every electropneumatic made.

                  1. A pneumatically operated projectile launching device, comprising: an electro-pneumatic flow distribution device configured to transfer compressed gas through the electro-pneumatic flow distribution device to a pneumatic mechanism to open a bolt.
                  2. A device according to claim 1, wherein the compressed gas to open the bolt is applied to a first end of the pneumatic mechanism, and wherein the pneumatic mechanism is coupled to the bolt through a mechanical linkage.
                  3. A device according to claim 2, wherein the bolt is configured to be closed by the application of pneumatic force to a second end of the pneumatic mechanism.
                  4. A device according to claim 1, wherein the electro-pneumatic flow distribution mechanism is arranged in an electronic solenoid valve, said electronic solenoid valve being configured to receive a signal from an electrical timing circuit.

You are correct Craig does most of the new work. And Glenn married a vary nice lady from Tiwian last year (Joy is her name). Rumor mill has it that he'll be spending a lot of time there. How true that is, who knows, but I can see it happening.

Erm no, that was all over the "trigger patent", and the one i was referring to was granted in June.

That sounds ALOT like the patent that SP lost against WDP in Oregon with, so I am pretty sur it's the same one. Do you have the patent number?

No, that's not what I was trying to say. I guess the subject is alittle misleading. But I just meant that I thought AGD would have come out with the stuff. But since they are focusing on Rec and scenario, I', sure that changed a few things around for them. And its not a bad thing that others came out with it.

Enos- Are you talking about the patent that supposedly covers electro cockers?
Hey, look at that! It's Santa!
