REDRT to AGD come in TK

Hey like many of us he we support you and use your fine markers. I however would like to have an ALL mag team someday playing tourney. I know that AGD is kinda leaning towards senerio play and that is fine. I like to take in a good senerio game, even though I get ridiculed for being a washed up tourney player by my friends when I do. (inside joke, not to dis any senerio goo roos out there) I'm finding it difficult to get new blood into the family shall we say, because of the flame throwers of the day out there. Yeh the 3.2 board is fast and very reliable, but not fast enough. Please don't foreget about us in the inflatible bunkers. Help us to help YOU! I know you have some full auto issues with 4.0 version 1, but version 2 has got to be a sure thing and hair triggers well that would make believers out of alot more than you have already. I love mags and all I want to do is spread the love. I'd like more bps so the team across the 50 gets more love to. (evil laugh). Remember us, remember the ones that turn over there pay checks religously to play the game, remember the people that will PAY for any upgrade that you might release. I want to make the mag dominate the compatition in every aspect of the game. I want to help bump your sales to give you more resources to help me and the mag army win! In the end, wouldn't we all be winners?

If the industry didn't already vote through ASTM to ban full auto this would not be the problem it is. Right now we cant afford the lawsuits, others with more money can. Its kind of like the exploding Pinto if your old enough to remember that.

Tom, since I have you here.... How is the 4.2 going? Any official word on if it will ever go public? I assume Miscue has informed you about it. From what he said, he fixed the FA issue. Atleast, he hasn't found an e-mag that does it yet.

Personally, I am not gonna say, "Give me 4.2 or I won't buy your stuff". If I had an e/x Mag, I would be happy with the awesome features of 3.2. I won't be leaving AGD anytime soon, for any shiny over hype'd piece of....However for a viking .... As for now, I am thrilled with your mech markers.

There are several all mag teams in tourneys, and most of them do VERY well, several are using the ULE custom and doing better than team with electros(I can name six but most people on here won't know who they are because it is regonal tourneys not national).

Why don't you do a search for one of the "OMG LOL HAY GUYZ GIMME 4.2 PLZ!1!!!!!11!" threads that has been floating around, and you will see the answer to your question.

don't get me wrong I love my emag but i can't help but feeling completely dropped and unloved by agd right now. I know that they'll still back the gun completely, but at the same time I also know that they won't be looking into any ways to improve it. I also realize the agd is going to go into the scenario market right now, witch i think is great for agd, but they're leaving all the tournament style players just hanging in the breeze. I guess what i;m trying to say is why can't they give a little bit of support to us too. No matter what they decide to do, listen to us or not I know I'll still be shooting my automag

I have a question about the number of tournament style players. And please, this is not meant to flame any group. But, are there more rec / scenario players, or are there more tourney/speedball players? If I own a business, I want to keep both groups happy, but I would want to concentrate on the group with the most potential dollars.

Personally, for me, I do not like the tourney scene. I can't get excited about a sport where rampant cheating is accepted (if not encouraged). The speed of markers is getting ridiculous. Where's the strategy? Why not just equip teams with paint hoses?

Okay, I'm really sorry about the rant. Please remember, that's only my opinion, and is not meant to insult the thousands of honorable, non cheating speedballers.

I'd say there is definately more rec players than tourny players. However, is there that much more money in it? I'm not sure because tourney equipment is way more expensive. Although fast guns are heavily relied on in tourneys there is still a lot of skill and strategy involved. If anyone disagrees then they have never played tournament or they are sore losers. AGD hasn't done that great in the tourny scene for a while now, but they have now committed suicide in that part of the market. Not only do they not sell E/X Mags (not really their fault), but they also no longer plan on making updates to the guns. Now I don't know the full details of why, but it seems to me they should release new software to help loyal customers compete in tourneys. AKA has had to stop production on the Viking and Excalibur, but they still support and develop updates/new stuff for them. My .02

Sure its somewhat more expensive and you have a LOT less people purchasing it than you would new players and rec players buying new equipment. That is just a silly thought, rec players were and still are the foundation market base for some of the bigger companies like Brass eagle and kingman... The companies that are successful in the tournament market are those that got early footholds into the market back when the switch was to faster and electronic markers such as smart parts and wdp.

There is a lot more to say about this but we can save it for another day.

ALso seems to be the basis for your argument on support is just the fact that AGD wont release buggy software for a discontinued marker that isnt the entire base for their company.

Also I did write the start of my post like you were sure there was a lot of money in tournament paintball, I didnt mean it to sound like that as I believe you were inquiring more than trying to make a point. I do not have figures in front of me so my comments obviously are my opinion but I think they do have some validity to them if you really think about the sport and where the growth is occuring

The problem is theyre not just concentrating on rec players, theyre almost completely turning their backs on any mag owner with an electro-mag. with no promises for any updates at all, or plans to update the hardware at all on emags/xmags, the only thing an owner can hope for is that they produce another part that will be universal for all mags. However, the software on any electro gun is very much a part of its performance. The marker can only perform as well as its software, so with no updates for it, it feels much more that they arent just focusing on rec players more, but dropping tourney players alltogether.

btw: i dont mean to flame, but if you dont know the strategy in tourney play then youve obviously never played in one. Also, you seem to imply that speedball is rampant with cheating, while i believe many more rec players most likely cheat than in speedball, its just that much easier to get away with.

Yeah, I put that I wasn't sure about the money thing, it was a question. However, about the buggy software, from what I've read the 4.2 fixed the f/a issue. I read they aren't releasing it due to a money issue, how expensive can it be? Maybe they'd have to pay Smart Parts? Couldn't they charge money to get the new software to ease the cost on them? I don't know, these are just thoughts. Like I said before, I don't know all the details, I just can't see a reason for releasing the newest software that has fixed the only issue I have heard that 4.0 had, and that was f/a which 4.2 supposedly fixed. I don't even have an E/X Mag, but I can tell you that if I did I'd be very disappointed in not having any updated software anymore to improve the performance of my gun. Although, the E/X Mags are great guns they are getting slow compared to a lot of the newer tourney guns, by slow I mean the ease with which a user is able to shoot them fast. Of course a lot of that is preference, I personally can not shoot an E/X Mag fast compared, to say, my Viking. [/rambling]
