Miscue it matters on closed bolt guns for the fact it prevents roll outs.

I use a .691 Stiffi on my Timmy and get a +/- 3 fps over the chrono. Using Draxxus Blaze that usally measures in the .683 range.

i would reccommend a large bored stiffi one-piece. I plan on getting a 12" .691 bore if/when i get the cash. I've done a ton of research on this topic myself, and from what i have come up with, bore matching is only an advantage for cockers and other closed bolt guns. for everything else, you jsut want the smoothest barrel with the least porting. more porting makes it slightly less accurate but decreases how loud it is. like vonort said, he gets +-3 over the chrono with his large bored stiffi. i bet it's accurate as hell too... it shoots thru chops (if you got lvl 10, ignore this) amazingly, and it only weighs ounces. look here... http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=176494 shows the stiffi barrel at 0.0 lbs.
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

          isn't it lucky 15?

if it is that's a great barrel kit. It gives you great performance and the biggest thing to me is that the bores are exactly what they are said to be.

But i really like the edge kit too, and they're selling them with 4 inserts and a 14 inch front for $70 on action village, a great price btw.

If you're up to it, a stiffi switch kit is great too. And if you're really rich, my friend spent about $450 getting 6 dye ultralight barrel backs and 3 tips.

And to answer your question about how many bores you'd need, i'd say you wouldn't need more than 4. 5-6 is great, but i doubt you'll need such a fine tuning, and many paints aren't down in the .682 range or up in the .696 range.

And how many paintballs are within a few thou in a box? For the duration of the day?

1-piece, .689, few ports, preferably about 11" effective length. In other words, the stock Automag barrel.

go for cost efficient because all barrels are essentially made equal, all you need to decide on is how important you really think it is to have a lighter barrel, and if you want a quiet barrel or a slightly more gas efficient barrel. No barrel is more accurate than another .. at least not any made in the past 5 years.

from experience, I used an Empire 7 piece kit... it worked great but was a waste of money because I bought a kit with 7 pieces.. and used maybe 3.

because on most mech cockers the only thing holding the ball in the breech is the bore of the barrel. Too big of a bore and the paint just rolls out...

you can get the J7J right from J&J themselves. they have a killer website.
as for the stiffi set, your right, they blow the breaks right through, but heres the deal, THEY BREAK THE BALLS THAT BLOW RIGHT THROUGH!

Marko had bought the set, at a fine price to add, and the only good thing about the set was the case, nice case, buy it for the case, throw the barrel out!

the Longbow is a fine choice too. they are hard to find too.

but Good paint makes the day!

Have a few inserts, and yeah the boomstick is the top of the line, i will have a set of them, with all the backs, soon enough, is we get sponsored! LOL

No really, J&J, check PB Nation too.

This Science works for you if you use the same paint all the time and never change up. if you can do that, then you are golden. We travel all over the place and have to shoot all kinds of crap and have to switch up on paint. we also HAVE to play in the rain and awful conditions to make it worst so there is paint swell and there size changes. Do what is good for you.

I would have liked to see the J&J come out with more backs and more preicise size differences, but thats just me and that all these are, our opinoins!

Once again I have to ask. How precise is your average case of paintballs?

i got the lucky 15 set recently, i have yet to put paint thru it though.

my choice was based on the fact that its a set of 1 piece barrels. none of this 2-piece crap.....

oh an it has a purty case too hahaha

Curious on this, as I never would have thought it. Care to elaborate and explain? Not that I'm saying porting increases accuracy, but how does it decrease it?
