    The only problem with that is will ALL the air be completely exhausted? Because if not, anything not coated and air inside the comustion chamber could become superheated with high ROF causing instant combustion upon injection?

    I haven't really gotten to the materials part of my major yet...especially thermodynamics...cant wait...

        yeah, but even if you coat the outer areas with ceramic, you still have the inside to worry about. And I did read the articles about this gun but it was so long ago, so what are they planning to use as lube? They cant have nothing, or this thing would need new internals every couple of months.

        I really dont care if you can or cant read my posts anymore, feel free to let him know that.

        Could you coat the interior with ceramic, have air build up that exhausts the heat more than normal? or maybe vented cooling?

          actually...they can use any normal kind of lube...probably just gun oil...
          i know that my shotgun gets pretty darned hot and the lube i use survives....
