Most disturbing thing I've seen on PBN in a while

I think the third picture down pretty much speaks for itself.

Please note that the person in the picture is pretty much the mouthpiece for Macdev, as well as being an employee of Macdev.

#1 He represents a major manufacturer, Macdev

#2 Young, impressionable kids play paintball

#3 Why in the HELL does having a gun tucked in the small of his back have anything to do with the new Macdev pants and jersey?

Our sport tends to glorify violence too much already, from the "scarface" fascination/merchandise to the prominence of fights/overly aggressive behavior in paintball videos. Now we have manufacturers suggesting that wearing concealed firearms is cool.

And you don't see a problem with that?

o thank god. i thought it was going to be a link to that pic of those man/women/special ed children.

the gun is just kind of degrading to paintball. it would be horrable if someone actually did that on the field and actually pulled it out if they got upset. it setting a bad picture for the young kids that think its cool, so now they want to do it.
        i dont like it.

I don't have all that much of a problem with it. I just think it is embarassing, for him. It looks as if he is trying to be a gantsa and its just not quite cuttin the mustard. It also looks kinda unprofessional for the company.

I see the problem and totally agree. Although I question why no one ever picks on Hybrid and the like... Yet you will call out James cause he is packing a pistola in a picture.

Hybrid makes grips and the like, which (if you read my reponse to your post) I dislike. However, its one thing to make a grip featuring an image from scarface. Its another entirely for an actual manufacturer to pose for a picture advertising his latest paintball wear, and in the pictures he sports what appears to be a concealed firearm (or simulated firearm) in the small of his back. Its not even responsible handling of a firearm to tuck it into your pants.

Maybe, but I really doubt that was the image he was trying to convey. It's that image that is the real problem.

Dumbarses who tuck real weapons into their pants like that tend to take care of themselves, per Mr. Darwin.

I am VERY pro gun, however, that is not the place to be showing one!! WTF is it for? A gun is used for protection or sport, not to show off. Firearms have NO place in the paintball community. I am a grown man and not influenced by it, but I know some kids are. That picture is a slap in the face to Mac Dev, paintball, and Firearms community. If anyone knows how to get in touch with Mac Dev they should let them know the image one of their employees is representing the company as. Not the image I would want for my paintball company at all.

That dude should be ashamed of himself. I wonder about the mentality of a person who would place a gun in his waistband to show off new paintball cloths!!

Just my .02 on this topic.

Yep, my sentiments exactly. I am also very pro gun, owning 5 myself.

I think my post on that thread will speak for itself.

He needs a quick thump to the forehead.

Yes but does it matter? Be it a bb, airsoft, pellet, replica, or real firearm it doesn't matter... What it fires is irrelivent(sp?), it looks real.
