Ive never been so embarrassed by a fellow Staten Islander lol ..... I never even knew this Kai guy existed until now. I must have run into him somewhere at some point.

Does anyone else find it ironic how PBN had such fits about Virtue and their behavior and then they turn around and let a pic like that go?

If you had met James...You would kinda get the joke.
The joke was for the Fans of Mac Dev stuff...who usualy at one point or another have talked to James ...I am lucky enough to have talked to hime on several occasions and He is about the most soft spoken and mellow guy on the phone ...I can almost fall asleep when he is talking. lol.

I agree, Real firearms have no place in a PB advert.
But I don't think the joke was MEANT for anyone BUT the ...as it has been put here..."Fan boys" of Mac Dev.

Thinking that James (Living in Aussie land ...land of gun control that it is) has a real gun...no...unless he is stateside now ...different ball game.

I see humor in it...only because I know of the guy.

No, I don't think its a good image for paintball...but then again ...I don't think it is a good image PERIOD.

I can't say I dislike the pic...reason as stated before.

But , If you are not happy with it ...You sure do have the means and right to say it....and NOT be hung for saying your 2c.

I don't agree with people jumping on folks who don't like the pic and are civil about saying they don't like it for "x" reasons.
They do make themselves look worse than the folks who don't find it funny.

I was actually talking to Caffiend as I think he took my joke of not understanding as literally not understanding.

The main problem I have is that they are forgetting about the "One Idiot Factor". Should anyone really have to be worried about what some kid will do if they take that picture the wrong way? No. But there is always one idiot looking for something stupid to do.

Should we really have to worry about people misusing paintball markers. No, but how many videos have you seen with unsafe play and general stupidity on a large scale. It is the idiot factor.

My second problem is that it would have done them no harm, and cost them nothing to get rid of the picture. Oh at the very least put in a disclaimer. It was, and probably still is causing problems but they are handling it by not handling it. Basically their behavior and attitudes suck.

The airsoft paintball gun is in the picture which makes it on topic does it not? If its not on topic to talk about it, then the picture of the "airsoft paintball gun" should not be in the original post becuse it is not appropriate for the MacDev forums. About the gun, what is the big deal even if its real. We are playing a game based around guns and shooting each other, that uses tactics and strategies developed from warfare, and that in some "events" emulate the rela life counterparts of war. If the kid doesnt understand guns and is playing paintball his parents have failed in explaining some basic info about guns. I understand that the gun is not the best form of advertisement and that some people may not agree with it, but there is nothing wrong with it. Then again you can go on a tangent and bring up everyday news, the current war, and the history of every country that use the real guns in much more violent ways. It is just not that serious, its a paintball picture.

Starting up crap over one picture isn't worth the time you guys are putting into it. The pic was made for the fan-boys, because very few people browse the macdev forum. Hell, it took this long untill someone to actually give a care, then you all jumped on board going "OMG gun = bad" without realizing that the pic wasn't serious. If you frequented the forum, you'd laugh, but since you guys don't have that view, you just get all pissy about it. The pics were just put up as a little tidbit of cool stuff coming out for the macdev supporters. The gun goes around with James's joking around attitude with the regulars, and they'll laugh over "haha, james is a gangster" That's prolly why you guys jumped on it about it.

Also, I used chill a lot because I couldn't think of other words that described it. I'm all for a mature discussion, but you guys all started jumping to conclusions. Thinking stuff like this really plays into the idiot factor is so minor it's almost nothing. There are a million other things that are worse for kids that you guys seem to not even talk about. This is a personal thing, because macdev is a personal forum.

No one even knew or cared before this thread. The only reason you guys know about it is because you're told what someone thinks, you get the bad idea and then look at the picture.
