    2008 Automag . . .

    Alright . . .

Let's say for instance , someone was considering putting together the resources to bring an all new (as new as new could be ) Automag valve based marker platform. Meaning , a fresh marker that would accept the standard AIR/RT valve but besides that , the sky is the limit more or less.

What kind of person would you think that might peak interest in and what precisely , should said marker consist of at least bare minimum?

Thoughts ? E vs Mech ? Price ? Features ? Whatever . . . let's here it. Design your dream mag. What's it going to take to sell.

(assume for the moment the stock valve would go unchanged)

    Let's here some thoughts . . .

An electropnuematic trigger frame option and a unibody design. Me thinks you have a dealer thread coming.

Somthing along the lines of a PCP would probubly be ideal if you wanted to keep some parts backwords compatible (I.E lvl 10).

I'll draw an idea right now. give me a min.

          Full ULE set up
Vert-ish frame (but maybe still accepts std 45 grips)
Pnue would be nice, but electro/mech would work.

Something simple and reliable, electropneumatic so that you don't have to use a ULT, with eyes so that you don't need the level 10 and of moderate weight. Oh yea and for under &500 US

            Guess not....

must have break beam eyes! must be light weight so the elves will have to go on a diet.

upgrade kit/overhaul kit that increases efficiency to more acceptable numbers.

I would say either elecro-pneumatic or straight pneumatic. And along with making it light as in ULE light, make it shorter too. I wouldn't go straight electric because you would have a direct competitor with the Mini (plus it would be in a catagory with every other electro), but something like pneumatic or e-pneu would offer something only custom airsmiths were able to offer. I would suggest making it with a singe and double trigger capabilities (think of Medusa type frame with the availability of interchangable triggers) and would keep it around the $350 or less range. As long as it has the AGD durability we all love, then I don't see why it couldn't become another tournament level gun! Eyes are not needed and I would stick with level 10 or something similar. The beauty of the lvl10 is that you don't require electronics and boards, which introduce cheater mods. And if there was anyway to make the valve lower pressure with CO2 capabilities that would be great, but I know that may be asking too much

Well all know that only AGD could possibly pull this off. Didn't you see the big fiasco with the non AGD slug body?

Internal airline going from the asa to the valve, or just under the valve to allow for a very short macroline setup.

Are any of these helpful? I'm working on finding machinists currently and checking into the production feasability.
I can't begin to describe the number of machinists who winced when I mentioned it needs a <50rms 7/8"dia 5" deep bore. lol.

It would need the proper trigger, one that makes it fly. If you're looking for people to collaborate, I'm in. Designing a series trigger for the mag would be easy.
It would also need to be modular, going from warp feed to vertical.
Aluminum slug style body, ball detent, cocker threaded.
Preferably incorperate the E/Mech/Hyrbid possibilities because that leaves the user his own decision to make and make the manufacturing simpler at the same time.
In the case of an E-version, make the battery pack more comfortable to grab. That blocky case has been the downfall of the E-mag from the beginning.
                              Get really funky?
Make the lower part of the grip frame on a lockable hinge so the grip angle can be adjusted from Z-style to a 45.
                              We can always dream right.
I'll be back once I think about it more.
