AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Sorry it's been awhile since I have been on. We have had a few calls about the Micromag project and it is not dead!!! It has been a very crazy and busy year. We just relocated to Portland, Maine. And we still aren't totally setup quite yet. I can't tell you when Forest will get this done for all of you, but he will. He is a man of his word, but he isn't always timely. I can't wait for the day that I can tell all of you that we are moving forward and actually putting them on the machines. Please don't get discouraged the day will come!! I promise.

Tracy,, have ya'll have an idea of which of the design submissions ya'll are liking? Prolly not but worth a Q
From what she told me the design is pretty much done. It's a matter of getting them to the machines. As most of you know PTP runs other things and well their bread n butter is rising and being churned right now and they are doing what they can to keep it from becoming sour dough.
So the small market/profit that the mag would kick in to them is not what keeps their lights on.
When we talked she basically said when they get the designs to the machines it'll be about 4 weeks for the processes to complete to where they'll be able to put the metal on them. During those 4 or so weeks is when the Down Payment would happen because then the process would be started.
So yeah... basically from what she says they have the design for the most part... I HOPE AND HOPE AND HOPE!!!!! And would even give her a smooch if my idea made it to the end... but alas... we will all have to wait and see....
Yes Forest has decided on what he wants to do. And a lot of what he is going to do is things that you all have mentioned. Of course none of that info will be released until we are ready to go to the machines!! And I am sure all of you or most of you will understand why!!! Thank you so much for being patient. And if you live close, by all means you may visit us, but please understand that we actually left the machine shop in Florida!! We just do all sales, proto work, assembly, packaging and shipping at this facility. Also we are still unpacking boxes at the moment so we are not totally set up yet. We thank all of you for your support and I hope this project will make all of you happy in the end!!

And if you live close, by all means you may visit us and come help us unload all the trucks and get everything set up. But please don't forget to bring beer and pizza as well, but please understand that we actually left the machine shop in Florida!! Oh by the way, we still have one more truck load to bring and yes they sell plenty of beer and pizza here in Portland. LOL!!
I highly recommend the Portland Pie Company for the pizza and you can't beat the "Fry's Leap" IPA over at Sebago Brewing.
If anyone at the PTP Maine location is into a game of Woods Ball; a friend of mine has only been fighting with the Town of Gorham for 3 years to open his field on 237 Moser Rd. He has been rezoned twice and finally, 3 weeks ago, got approval from the planning board. Now they want him to get building permits for the bunkers he has built out in the woods... And get this, he has Central Maine Power high tension lines on one side, a new industrial park going in across the road and an new asphalt plant on the other two sides.
Did I mention the Westbrook location of Portland Pie Co. will deliver to his field.
I am very happy to announce bodies are in the actual design phase!!! Forest did a number of designs back in 2001 for what was going to be a 2003 Micromag, but unfortunately what we considered to be some of our best designs are a little too close to some one of a kind custom bodies that have been done in the past couple years. It just forces us to find something that is even more cutting edge. I will keep you guys posted!!!!
