But in all seriousness - say what you want about the guy, he is one of the only dealers left standing and he does make awesome products. Unless we want mags to disappear forever then we need to put aside our personal issues and buy stuff from him. Personal differences aside, he is NOT a bad guy - trust me on that one.

Even I have to defend Rogue to some degree. Outside of business he is rather personable at least from what I have ever seen. His business practices I find highly questionable, but on the other hand there surely does not seem to be anyone else stepping up to offer what he does.

Rogue seems to take shots at anyone who sells Mag stuff (with the exception of Tuna who I believe was here when Rogue showed up and will be here when Rogue is gone). To what end? He complains about people stealing others designs but it was ok for him to steal a frame design from CCM because they hadn't put one on a Mag? WTF?

Tell that to Ford " no, no, we put a hemi in it. That means it's not a Mustang anymore."

I don't know Rogue from anything other than what he puts out on the internet and from that he seems like a jerk. This is just one more instance.

Yeah, but that is why there is a tough decision for a lot of us. The fact that Rogue (sean) says one minute he likes competition but then goes out of his way to hassle competition on plenty of occasions makes a lot of us question his character. That's like saying to buy from Smart parts because the marker they make is good. A lot of people choose not to buy from Smart Parts because of the owners, not because of the products. They could make the best marker on earth and I wouldn't use it because of their lack of ethics.

In the same sense, I think it is funny that Rogue can post his stuff in both the dealers & b/s/t threads of PBL and yet cyberave68 got hassled and had to deal with all the crap he has. Honestly, we all know that rogue's site leads you to an abyss where you can't get anything. I guess cyberave68 should have just linked to some random site and claimed it was his so he was following the rules. I've just seen way too much of this crap from rogue and let it go for way too long. I honestly don't care about his products anymore. I'm going to try to give my money to other dealers and intentionaly steer clear from him. I look at a man's character before doing business with them, and that's one area that Sean is lacking. He may be a nice guy in person, but his business practices are unethical and wrong.

BigEvil, I love you and your site, and I'm glad it is back up, but I cannot disagree with you more in your last post. You say that we should support him because he's one of the few remaining dealers left and without him mags with disappear. I don't believe that.. I believe someone else will stand up. Plus, that's one of the worst reasonings I've ever seen. All that is going to do is give him more power and continue to allow him and his unethical business practices to continue. And for him to continue to try to attack competition just to ensure he has an extra dollar in his own pocket. It'll just give him more power to do the same crap he's already doing.

Here, let me try to make a fitting analogy. Let's say that Smart Parts were to continue on sueing everyone until finally everyone else just stopped trying. All the other competitors folded / went out of business. And then I made the arguement "Buy from Smart Parts or Paintball as we know it will be gone". Could you do it?? Could you support a crooked business who put the "almighty dollar" above the people who innovated and helped create this sport??

My answer is no. I cannot buy from Smart Parts, and going forward I'm going to do my best to avoid putting any more money in Sean's pocket.

Rogue unethical? My butt, he hasn't ever screwed anybody to my knowledge. His business decisions according to you may be undesirable, but this is business. It's competition and he hasn't done anything unethical. Unethical is selling frames that don't fit rail bushings and then telling buyer they don't really need them.

RogueFactor is like smart parts? Get real, there is no comparison between a company that has done what Smart Parts has done and anyone else.

Rogue takes pot shots? Who needs to take a pot-shot when a frame is made not to accept rail bushings? Last I checked, Rogue was the only guy making this stuff to spec without the need to tell people you don't need a factory part, which last I checked Tom believes you need. But maybe he is wrong, what does he know, he only created the Automag.

I can't believe you guys are adults. Is this what the paintball industry is made up of now? A bunch of limp knee'd whining sissies? You guys spend more time on the internet complaining about stuff that isn't any of your concern than you do playing paintball, get an f'in life.

And your point is what? All paintball gun frames are based on real firearm frames to some extent, so what? By your logic other people do it so it makes it ok? If you admit you stole it, that's cool? Maybe I'll copy Rogue's stuff but drill an extra hole, will that be ok? It'll be .05oz lighter.

Show me a thread about any other dealers on a power trip and maybe I'll complain about them.
