I'm surprised that no one has said a Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R
What discontinued sports car would you choose?

The r34 cost more than 20k new, plus with the addition of the r35 to nissan's stable its not really discontinued.
Plus, an r34 would cost way too much to import nowadays.
Personally, Id buy a 95 240 and swap in a rb 25 if a 26 was too hard to get.
Street legal and plenty fast, and way under the 20k price!Comment

Only way I would put a rb26dett into a 240 is if it was the Z-tune spec engine (but why would you take the Z-tune engine out of the skyline anyways). Otherwise I would use that engine for a different project.Originally posted by olinarPersonally, Id buy a 95 240 and swap in a rb 25 if a 26 was too hard to get.
I also hear that the rb25 and 26 swap into a 240 is hard and requires a lot of fab work.Comment

Im sure there would be thousand of people waiting in line to beat you over the head if you removed a z tuned 26 out of its body.
That would be sacrilegious not to mention just plain pointless, if youve got a z tuned r34 there is no way in hell you would be thinking about taking the motor out.
The swap into a 240 is very laborious and expensive. but the benefits are definitely worth it.
Google project r14 and Im sure you will like what you see.Comment

928 seems to be a pretty fast car.
