If ur looking at cost, then consider the LS3. just a tad bit more than the LS2 but has about 450hp/475tq

well there comes in the mounting cost, for like 200$ or 400,, i forget been soo long since i looked into them,, brackets can be had to straight mount in the ls1 or ls2. dont know if the ls3 is compactible. cuts project costs waaay down then getting a shop to fab you some.

LS3 is based on the LS1 block, it works in anything the LS1, 2, 6, or 7 is in.

I have a 72 Opel GT, a 72 Fiat Spider and 93 Dodge Stealth. The spider is the best since it is a convertible.

Since im into different types of racing I wouldnt be able to choose just one, but...

                        2000 Impreza 2.5RS (For rallying)
                        MK4 Supra (Drag Racing)
Third gen Rx-7 (Autocross/drift, although i'd probably swap out the rotory for a 2jz or an rb26)
                        sigpic

1995-99 Eclipse GSX ( I know it's still in production, but the models since 2000 have been a disapointement.)
                          Any 3rd gen RX-7
Supra would be nice, but prefer the looks of the rx7.
The FD looks so nasty compared to the FC, and they have comparable performance. Ruler mark has the right idea as far as the car, but horrible idea as far as the engine, i would smack anyone who did suck a conversion and made it into a worse car.

And grimm, ugh, drift racing? It's racing while burning out, now circuit racing where you do actual drifts with no tire smoke, that's where it's at. Drifting's all about speed, japan's bastardized it and made it for show.

I wasn't knocking japan, i love japanese cars, if you noticed one of the cars i would want is an FC, but putting an LS1 in it would ruin it because the fewer rpms you have the less range you have and the less control over your car you have. I would take a high revving rotary over an LS1 anyday.
