the FC has that aura of old school badass. very small car. the fd is sex. They are both soo amazingly sexy you cannot pit them against each other.

Haha, au contrare, you can, because the FC is superior. I dunno why, but i just love how it looks, i mean i want a lotus, but i would still have an FC just because i love how it looks. God i need to drive again.

I hate the looks of the FC, i never liked boxy cars. The lines of a car should flow and seem "organic".

I don't know why, but i have always disliked backends and espescialy tailights of every car until i saw an FD. Don't ask me why, I don't know.

You have no taste sir! The FD looks too MX5ish, the FC looks like a mean freaking car. I mean seriously, as far as how cars look, for me that's it.

Well i would hope that mustangs are fast in a straight line, as they suck at everything else.

the newer ones except for the gt500 are better, but still pretty horrible.

They handle like crap, that's what's wrong with them. The GT500 stock costs more than other ones and it has crap suspension, it literally can't go fast any way except straight. The other ones can handle better, but for the most part it's a poor handling car. The only cars that ford has ever had that handle well were the Shelby Cobra and the GT40, but they didn't make either of those cars, so yeah.

once you go 150+, going fast in a straight line quickly becomes very very boring. anyone can go really fast in a car all you have to do is push the pedal, going fast around turns is what takes skill.

Besides I thought we were considering discontinued, old, oddities. I didn't realize I could get into vehicles that had had minor tweaks and are still in production form.

Factually MOST sports cars over 10 years old, under 10K are not going to hold a candle to todays "super" production cars without extensive modification. Some of them are not going to hold a candle to some of the sedans available.

I will admit i haven't gotten behind the wheel of a mustang, but there's good reason for that. Also, i know enough people who have had mustangs and have said the same exact thing, you can make them handle better but you can't make them handle well, and that seems to be ford's problem because every single ford i have driven has handled horribly. I know for a fact that the Shelby GT500 which is more expensive than the other mustang handles worse than the other mustang because they added something like 200 horsepower but kept the same live axle that the old one had. That one for sure can't go anywhere but in a straight line, even though it costs more. My government teacher who is an avid mustang fan said that he got his wife the sport version and they were going around corners with their mustangs with their friend, and she was sort of doing well (didn't handle phenomenally) but their stock versions were sliding all over the place. My dad even had one back in the day and said that their handling was below par, but he loved how it looked. The ONLY cars that ford has ever had that handle well, they didn't even make. The original Shelby Cobra and the GT40 were their only cars that could handle well, and ford didn't even make those cars.

I would classify the Mustang as a classic American Muscle car, and not a European style sports car. They are not really intended to be the all out handling car that, say a Lotus is.

I still stand by the comments though. While harsh, and certainly not applying to everyone, they apply to a lot of the car talk that goes on. Yes, take a $5,000 car, do $10,000 worth of modifications to it and it can be better (for some things), than many other cars.

Ok, well it seemed like you were saying that in response to those that said the mustang couldn't handle well. I still love how the old ones look, but i wouldn't want to own one, actually i would love a lotus though. Of course spending that much money on it, i probably wouldn't want to drive it fast...that's why i'm more leaning toward cheaper cars for that kind of thing.
