AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I guess it fits with the logic of "lets make a movie about a thing and have it barely have anything to do with that thing other than sharing the names of some characters/items/organizations" which seems to be what the Wolverine movie was all about.
Aside from the departure from certain aspects of canon, which the X-Men franchise has done, what made the movie "crappy"?
Poor acting, camera work, character development, lame dialogue, uninspired action, lack of motivation on the part of the characters, just a poor story?
Insufficient character development and poor explanations for characters in an "origins" storyline.
Silly and unnecessary moments with no place in the movie or the comics.
Poor acting from the actor who played Gambit.
Etc.
So really, it was a mediocre movie that strayed so far from the plot it sought to replicate, that it was a whole other story altogether. It had almost nothing to do with the story of Wolverine's origins except for some names and events.
