Lol, this made me laugh. No serious, it is truly a mad, nutter of a post that has no sense of realism. It is absurdist. I will make 2 points, cause any more and I think my thumbs will break.
1. Thomas Jefferson said a lot of things. He had thoughts on tyranny, as well as government and everything in between. He also said things that were very much a contradiction. While in France, he was writing papers on abolition, how man should not own man, anti-slavery. When he got home, he kept his slaves, exploited their work, broke up families and raped the women.
Now, you might say, that it was accepted in the times, how he was doing nothing more than a lot of presidents and citizens at the time. So, what do you call someone who says one thing and does the opposite? Why is it great words to be considered when he was exactly who he was writing on tyranny? So no, TJ's words mean nothing, because he didn't live by them. But I don't know what is worse, people using quotes to try and make their point seem justified or that the quote they use, generally represents themselves and how they are the subject of that quote.
2. So are you the arbiter of campaign promises kept? Inflation is still rising and he said he would end that on day 1 or was that one day? The same with the grocery bills, which as of this week, egg prices have reached the highest point, even with inflation, ever. But has he done anything? I am being serious, other than a flurry of EOs, what has he done? One thing he has done has tanked his poll numbers to the lowest ever for the 1st 100 days.
Yet you say that he is rooting out corruption and draining the swamp. Didn't he say he was doing that 8 years ago? I know, there was those lost 4 hears where everything returned and he had to start over again, but still. You would think that some 34 count indicted criminal, reality TV star, who can't run a business, would do something that would stick but he hasn't. What is worse is that Musk bought him, and Musk, not only being the #1 government handout baby, who has major conflicting in just about everything he does. From his factories in China, which technically he doesn't own(China is bad right?, through the FAA with SpaceX.
Yet the waste and corruption that he is supposed to find, what has come of that? To paraphrase Jon Stewart, why not end the subsidies and handouts that go to the petroleum companies? That's a couple of billion dollars alone. After so many quarters of those businesses that reported new net profits, I would think they don't need the money? Or maybe go after those people that owe taxes? You know, those people who owe millions in taxes.
While I understand the difference of political rhetoric and political speech. I still find it absurd that you think that regardless of what I think or believe, that you think that trump and his sycophants will actually do anything that would benefit you. Remove EPA restrictions so the quality of your water is worse(but you have a well and don't use city water). See gas, grocery and energy prices skyrocket. Have your taxes go up. Whatever...
If you think that Trump and his people will do anything but burn this country down, you have a better chance of seeing pigs fly the new space shuttle to Jupiter.
