Mr. Hick, you have a better race. But it is getting harder to have the little street grudge matches without the sport compacts, so those of us with "muscle cars" are going to play by a few different rules.

This is retarded. Using NOS is like using a whole different fuel, its giving it an advantage. A stock small block mustang would get its *** blown away, and even the big block wouldnt be able to keep up with the ricer on NOS, just a normal turbo im not sure. What would be fair would be to put a early year Boss Mustang or somethng like that up against some little ricer. If you think its gonna win you can always run it over

It all depends on what you're running on the engine. You have 2 choices:

1-Make your car go as fast as it can in the 1/4 mile
2-Make it able to run long distances while keeping a consistent speed.

You can make any engine blow up under pressure. Every car block is strong, it's what's in it that counts.

The top speed/performance of any import is directly proportional to the amount of trim peices that are painted yellow, and how many stickers are plastered all over the thing. Watch out for the Civics that have a big "TYPE-R" sticker on them; they're the fastest things on the planet, I swear.

Actualy I would like to see a Civic with a supercharged v8 and 4 barrel on it. LoL, you would have to totaly rebuild it. Either that or put a v6 4.0 liter in it. That would be cool.

I'm surprised, befuddled, amazed, shocked...nobody has mentioned a great name in racing, the Mustang master, SHELBY! It would be a sight to see a GT 500, equipped with a 427 cube V8, go head to head with a civic. It's apples to oranges, though, because drag racing should be made with comparative fuel or limitations on power adders (some forms say NOS or forced induction, not both). Personally, I don't want any less than 6 cylinders. Bigger is better. One of the funniest things I've ever seen was a "drag race" between a Vette and a Honda.

You could convert typewriter into a computer...it can be done, but WHY?!?

Hmm.. well if that's your argument, why don't you go ask a couple local 84-90 Vette's around here about this kid with a Cobra.. The Cobra's a Ford.. Faster than the Vette's. :) Then you could go ask the kid with the Cobra about the kid with the Trans Am.. but we won't go into that :)

Yeack! Its so irratating and annoying to hear a lil civic with an obnoxious driver come flying up and it makes you cringe to hear that leafblower on crack noise.
It really does make me cringe. Better a rumbling growl of american cars then that.

You can't but the mustang and a vette in the smae catagory. FOr the price of a vette you'll be left in the dust with a mustang moded up to the same price. NO comparison. I have yet to see a vet that is so ridiculously fast that no Mustang can touch it.

NO matter what car you have there's always a faster car out there.... FACT.

As for right now though, it's a mustang that holds the record on the 1/4 mile
