tattoes on neck and face != army?

my parents heard that if you have a tattoo on your neck and/or face the army wont allow you in. this kinda makes sense, but im wondering if that applies to the draft also. if it does, then my parents might allow my brother to get a tattoo, and i could get one too , but seriously, any army guys out there know?

Are you serious!?!?!? Your Parents should be drafted. I think that's really sad.

The draft is not a punishment. It's a chance to pay your country back for all it's given you when it needs you.

If I were drafted I'd GLADLY go and serve my country.

In Canada, there is no draft, actually, can you call our service a military one? Seriously though, if I were needed, I would choose to serve my country.

Eventhough I totaly disagree with this war on Iraq (which I will not get into it, and please don't debate about it) I will gladly serve my country if it needs me.

If it shows outside of a dress shirt (below wrists/above collar) no, they won't accept you. if any tattoo can be deemed as racist/gang related ('old english' writing, skulls, confed. flag etc..) will not be allowed.

                  wow... i never knew that.

I was considering getting a tatoo on my arm for my friend who left us, but decided it would be something i'd regret later.

I too would go to fight.

Its sort of strange. Around the time of the WTC and Pentagon attacks, every kid in my school was saying "hell yes, rock on U.S.!" but now that they hear the army has requested names and adresses from the schools, they are complaining about the draft.

I think that joining the army would be a great experience. My dad's girlfriend's son ('s best friends uncle... yadayada) joined the reserve to get money towards college. He joined before sept. 11, so they gave him a great deal because the join rate was so low. He is a completely different person.

My friend, Phil, used to be lazy. He was a slacker. He really didn't have very much motivation. Granted these qualities seem magnified since he has returned, but he was lazy.

After coming back from the army, WOW. He's now up to any task, and has very strong views and opinions. The experience really opened him up.

I may opt to join one of the armed forces after college, maybe before if i think i'll have trouble paying.

Army is cool. Help pay the debt we as a nation owe to eachother! BE ALL YOU CAN BE!!!!!!!!!!11 (hopefully you don't end up scrubbin toilets)

i also would join the forces if we went into a real war... not this iraq type stuff but like if we were attacked again... i got a letter from the Massachuessetes Maritime Acadamy and it said if i go on into the forces i would come in as a comisioned officer and serve for a minimum of 6 years... im still thinking bout that

EDIT: if you do perposly go out and get a tatto to dodge the draft you have lost all repsect from me and think should be tried under treason.... but thats just me. if you got a tatto with a diffrent reason than dodging the draft.. hey whatever thats fine.

first off, why would you want someone jamming needles into your face, knowing they are going to leave big permanent marks?

the draft is no longer in use and will never be used unless we get into a war with such and incredible casualty rate and the majority of our army is just anihilated. the army dosn't like the idea of forcing people to fight, with all the vietnam draft dodging it ends up as bad PR. but you never know.

yes yes, i realize that it probably wont be accepted for people who sign up, but what about the draft?

and btw, if you wanna go die for your president just so he can divert attention from true economic problems, be my guest.

                              who wasted trillions of surplus?
                              our president, our president
now who gave tax cuts to the rich
                              our president, our president
who just gutted national forest protection acts?
our president, oh ya our president
