Someone tried to break into my house tonite

most of the smarter criminals(using it as comarative, no criminals are smart) take small things that may be valuable, but that you might not notice are missing right away. that way they are long gone by the time the victim realized.

quoting Bill O'Reilly; "if someone breaks into my house, they're dead." just say you felt your life was threatened(which it always in when someone illicitly enters private property)

Read the posts again. A shotgun with #7 birdshot will hit a whole lot of people. Plus after the first one was shot, you think the others would still be coming or running for their lives?

may i ask where you got this information, hal. and may i see some statistics to prove this?

this isn't counterstrike and youre not going to shoot through three walls and hit your mom in the head. just about anyone properly trained in the use, and safety of a firearm is perfectly apt to fire one with the smallest chance of hitting someone unless they happen to be standing infront of the intended target. i say almost because there are some people who give liberals excuses to push anti gun legislation and ruin it for the rest of us.

the statistics are available to anyone who wants to look at the rate of deaths among family members by suicide, murder, and manslaughter. in fact, by having a gun in the household, a member of ur family is twice as likely to commit suicide according to a yale survey.

btw. it isnt counterstrike. u hear a noise, grab ur gun go down the stairs and see someone and shoot. oops, sorry that was ur son who was also going to find what made the noise. sorry

yeah my dad used to be a cop and he has a 12 guage shot gun like what cops use. and yeah hearing that sound of a shot gun being racked gives me the willys.

halb anyone whio knows gun safety WILL NOT take a blind shot into darkness like you said most likely they will make sure what they are aiming at

halb, if the gun owner teaches your family gun safety they will more than likely know better than to point a gun at another human being, with the exception of when your life is threatened. i have been taught firearm safety from a very young age. when you see the hostipal record photos of what happened when you take a 12 ga. in the chest from a few yards is enough to teach anyone to respect guns and thier power.

when i requested statistics, i was expecting a link to a federal, or trusted website. just saying they are out there doesn't do too much for your argument. if you want people to belive you, you need to back it up with something better than your word.
