Well, we have a problem shartley. Daryl cant go, so we have to hope that one of our ex-players can make it. if not we have to grab somebody crappy, or go with missing players like last time. I would rather lose missing one player than lose with all 5 and a crappy one. We should be fine though.

I'm so sorry to hear what happened Shartly. I'm really glad that your daughter is recovering well. I'm thankful that it wasn't as serious as it could've been, I have children too and can't imagine getting a phone call like that, I hope I never do.

My cousin was in a car accident several months ago and hurt her back pretty badly. The person who hit her didn't have any insurance (in fact he was driving a stolen car). She has something like a slipped disc which needs to be drained every so many months. Surgery can be done but won't actually fix the problem. Her insurance company stopped paying for her medical bills recently saying that the injury was pre-existing which isn't true. My cousin then found out that if your medical bills get past a certain dollar amount you can sue the insurance company (I talked to her very briefly about this and am unsure of the details). Anyway, the insurance company cut off her medical payments just shy of this amount. She had to get a lawyer and is going to court soon. Because of this accident, she can't have children, her back can't handle the extra weight, she has to have her back drained every 6 or 7 months for the rest of her life, and now on top of everything else, she has to go to court to justify herself when she wasn't at fault.

I just wanted to let you know that it takes alot of character and integrity to do what you originally did Shartly. To be forgiving and want to work things out honestly for the better of everyone involved. You could've yelled "Sue" the second you knew your daughter was okay.

The fact that they are trying to get out of it sucks! Just keep your head up, everything happens for a reason, maybe this is a blessing in disguise. No matter what happens, your daughter walked away from it, and I'm sure everyone has learned valuable lessons and morals because of what your going through and how you're handling it. You probably already knew them, but maybe the young lady and her family will learn what you already knew and will react differently in situations where their intergrity come in to play in the future.

You don't have to explain yourself to us! Believe me I understand that a lawsuit is a stressfull and horrible thing that no rational human being seeks out. We all would rather not have to go through the process at all. Hope that it works out for the best....
