Same thing happened to my little brother. He was taking his girlfriend home in his Tacoma, and when he went through an intersection (he had the green), some 16 year-old girl appearantly didn't see the red light untill there was not enough room to stop... She hit the truck in the front tire, so there was minimal body damage, but the alignment and every thing else under there was shot to pieces.
The car was the girl's (it was totalled ) own personal vehicle, but she was on her parent's insurance. You'd think after taking a shot like that to their premiums, the parents would think twice about letting her drive again, but my brother said that he saw her at school driving the next week. Not only that, it was her PARENTS CAR!

I don't have a problem with young drivers, I have a problem with immature and inept drivers. They can come at any age.

Im 16, I have to pay for my own insurance, therefore you dont see me driving like an idiot. Good job keeping the car in control. You have the 8? - My friend has a 6 and its a beast... totally changed my mind about ford . I cant imagine how the 8 cylinder performs..

I'm glad to hear that nobody was hurt and hopefully you'll be feeling better soon. I was expecting a whole lot more damage but like you said the pictures don't show everything. I'm sure that you'll get it all fixed one way or another since it was the other driver's fault. Man I wouldn't even wanna think what that's gonna cost his insurance to have it fixed. I got hit by a girl in the school parking lot and that little fender bender cost her $1600 dollars to have my car fixed and another $800 to have hers fixed. Good Luck.

coulda been worse, my stang had a running with a stupid women in a SUV, those monsters are tougher then trees. Needless to say I avoid women drivers like the pest now.
Women are like kids... only they NEVER learn how to drive. So while your 20 year old will eventually calm down and get things right the women in my accident can look forward to many more "fender benders"

Hmmm, My buddy is 20, and goes to NHTI. His car isn't red though. I could honestly see him doing something like that, and a lot of kids from NHTI doing that. They aren't the brightest tools in the shed.

yes i said this just to make you mad, but thats pretty much what your implieing when you say "Young drivers stay away"

Ive actually never been in any close calls, except for one guy, an old man, he had a broken arm and hip, and was wearing those glasses over glasses. He drifted into my lane and scraped the side of my car. Im 17, never caused any accidents/ never came close to causing any accidents, thats because im a pretty defensive driver, the only time i speed and drive reckelssly is when i cant hit anyone, like in a empty parking lot=). MABE THIS IS because i had to buy my own car, and i want it to last, its an 1989 mercury grand marquis with a ford 5.0 litre v8=)

Young drivers are satistically proven to be worse drivers then older drives. And, Shartley was hit by a young driver.

I don't see anywhere he says EVERY young driver is a bad driver, but you cannot deny the majority of young drivers are less experinced and 'worse' then older drivers....
