Yep Andy your right! They put em in Mustangs and Crown Vic's and I guess the Licoln version of that, the Grand Marqis.

Various years into the late 80's depending on the model before they quit.

I saw one in an F250 truck one time. It was a conversion and they used Crown Vic stuff as well as a Mustang derived 5.0L

The 300 was used in F-150, F-250 and i'm not sure but i think F-350.

I know for a fact that F-150s came with the 302, not as good of a truck engine, although a great car engine. They may have come in F-250s but i'm not too sure.

          You could've gotten the 300 I6, 302 v8, 351 v8, 460 (holy friggin crap thats huge) v8 or the 7.3L diesel.

And Cphillip, you should know my truck knowledge better than to think i would say something so foolish as the great small block 302 never existed!

For Year's Auto Manufacturer's rounded to the nearest Litre
AMC called the 304 a 5.0 and Ford has been calling the 302 a 5.0 just until the past year or two. Technically You are correct, But look at the Badge's on the car's, It's a 5.0
            correct or not!

I think everybody should buy GM.

No problems would arise by this.

Yeah shartley, you're right. Those pictures don't look like much at all. Sorry about the hit though.

Glad to hear you're alright shartley.

Bad drivers can come at any age. I'm 21. I've never gotten a ticket, never been in a wreck that was my fault. In fact, every wreck I've been in (two), I was sitting still... *mumbles about inept, ingorant people*

First one, I had stopped for an ambulance in front of a hospital, and the girl two cars back pushed the car behind me into me (she was 33, I believe).

And last summer, I got hit by a 48 year old drunk driver, who, after he hit me (read-plowed into my rear end at about 30 mph with me at a dead stop), took off.

I just don't like people associating age with bad driving. Many things contribute to bad driving. Age does not directly correlate. Stupidity, recklessness, inattentiveness, ignorance, and cell phones. Those contribute to wrecks=)
Don't think of it as being outnumbered, think of it as a wide target selection.

OK well I thought you was joking. And go back and look at what I said about that 5.0. It was shoe horned in to that F250. It was cool! Some folks will try anything...

And I am currently driving a 7.3L Turbo Diesel! Why? Cause they didn't have anything BIGGER!!!!!

Oh and a little tidbit of information. Ford doesn't make a 7.3L Diesel....

Oh and how could you forget the sweet 289! it was in early Ford Trucks too...

now did i ever say they did?

289 was a good engine too, old tho... swappin in a 300 is a great project. The little 240s were good for revving too. If i'm not mistaken they shared the block with the 300.

My dad's got the 7.3L too. Glad he got it before they made the new 6L. The 7.3L is tried n true!

Well I did drive a 6.0L the other day and it is SWEET. very quite and that new tranny is superb but I am still a bit skeered of it. They are having some growing pains with it...

I stick to my International School bus engine!

I had a 1960 F-100 "Custom" that had a 289 in it. Wish I still had that thing. Had it in the late 70's and went through college driving that thing. It was painted metal flake Gold and had like 16" Mags on the back and 14" mags on the front. It would fly! Three speed on the columb. Original round Dial radio with tubes and all in it and that was all it ever had for sound. AM radio baby!
