Anyone else here play Ice Hockey?

Just wanted to know if anyone else here on AO played ice hockey (sorry...IMHO roller hockey is not hockey..so I don't care)..I had to do something instead of just sitting behind my monitor waiting for my X-Mag to come...

hahaha...well..I stepped away from the game for about 4 years while I dealt with some personal problems and some other stuff..and I'm just getting back into it again..and just like paintball...lots of stuff has changed with the gear in 4 years..but it's still the same game on the ice....

I play.Ive played roller hockey for 8 yrs. and ice for 4 or so.Im pretty darn good considering im only 13 and can beat all the grown-ups and other kids .

Ice Hockey

Hell yea! I played roller hockey when i was 9, and at 11 i started ice hockey. I played both ice/roller for another year then quit roller since it was sooooo slow compared to ice hockey. I have played ice hockey ever since then up to now. I played varsity hockey for my hs and it ended this year. We were in first the whole year and lost in the semis lol.. and im not joking about this..we play 16 games...our record was 14-2..then we lost in the semis to the 4th seed.
My coach was terrible and he gets a lot of recognition just because we had a good team. overall we came in 3rd place since there was no way the other team that lost could beat us. We had a jv team as well.. I played for them when they needed playes, and the jv team beat their varsity team lol. Dirtybunny did u ever clock ur slapshot ? The last time i did, it was 70.. and thats good for me considering im the 2nd smallest kid on the team and i have a better shot then all of them except the captain! lol

Yeah..like I said above I'm getting back into it after about 4 years away... i went and got out all my old equipment..yucky..hahahhaa...all yellow...it's worse than old pb equipment...so I'll be replacing everything slowly...just got myself some new CCM 1052 Tacks skates...lots nicer than the Bauer 4000's I bought almost 10 years ago...hahahahaha..

I've been playing Ice hockey since i was 7. I stopped for a year and played roller for three. Man i hate roller! lol. I love ice hockey though but i don't know why, but for some reason it's been getting boring. I am probably not gonna quit for a while though.

I must say that CCM make some decent skates...but Bauer make the best ever. My last pair were Bauer 7000s..best skates ever..great blades and very very light. CCM are decent to, but ive known to many ppl who had them fall apart after taking some shots, or gettin sliced up from blades..My bauers held up for going on 2 yrs now and still havent had any problems with em other than replacing blades from sharpening it to much. Otherwise they were the best skates ive had. I would recommend any of the bauer skates.
