i play i am going on playing for 7 years now. started when i was 5 and now im 12. and yes bauer are the best skates i love em. i have vapor 10's but i outgrew them and now im getting the new xc20's. my dad has ccm 652 tacks and he has had the blade holder broken 2 times. the boots are nice but the blade holders are poop.

Chassis?
I think the blade holders are called a chassis..not sure but i could be wrong. Bauers have a Tuuk Chassis...great then never cracked on me. THey have taken many hits from slapshots (me and my fearless dives to block slapshots
) and not once have broken.

I had CCM tacks 1052's but i got rid of em cause i didn't like em. Guess i was used to my old vapor 8's. I have Vapor 10's now though and i love em. Got my good old sher-wood coffey classic. Gotta love it. Everyone thinks they're cool w/ their synergies. They don't know what a true stick is.

Yeah...it's all good...I'm using hockey as my way to take time off of paintball. I'm just straight burned out from paintball. I don't know what it is...well...really I do. I've just gone through a lot of turmoil in the last year and I just don't have time for anymore drama. I had a relationship of 5 years blow up in my face right before our engagment. I have been having lots of trouble at work, and my anxiety/depression has just been blazing like a three alarm fire and I just needed something different to free my mind. Don't get me wrong...paintball is great...but when you just let it consume you it can snuff out the fire inside of you real quick. I'll probably just take time off from pb for six months or so...try to stay off of AO and just spend a little time skating..play a little hockey. It must be good karma, my first night out skating I met someone..she's really great but I don't want to jinx it...Comment

i have a brand new paid of CCM tacks 852's. They are awsome skates, and yes, they are the goalie model (ima goalie, w00t)
And im also using hockey to take a year orso break from paintball, i have been playing hockey for years now.

Hockey
Best part about hockey is that you can hit people as hard as you can (legally) and not get a penalty. I've blind-sided many people and put them on the floor making them look at the ceiling..Its a great feeling especially when the whole crowd sees it and cheers for you. Hockey is great, so is paintball.

I've been playing hockey for about 15 years. I love it. Even more than paintball! I'm in college now and play intramurals and go to open ice all the time. I played roller hockey with my friends when I was a kid. I've never been in an actual roller hockey league. I'd like to try it though.

It got too hard to find ice time, who wants to have your games drop puck at midnight? yech got tired of it. And at $1200 or more a season it got too pricey. Now I play in an adult roller league. Games are earlier, half the price and on top of that we have a 50% sponsorship.Comment

I played throughout highschool. I played about 4 games in a mens league, I got tired of it real quick because there was no hitting. To me Ice Hockey without hitting is a crime

heheheeh our league allows "light" checking. Really really strict about hits along the boards, but as long you're playing the game and not just looking to crush, you're fine.

this year i went through about 18 sticks from breaking them. This was no ordinary stick either... it was a sherwood pmpx 9950 iron carbon..great stick too.
