to be completely honest the most successful shot I have is just a nice wrist shot from the point that just dives about the last five feet..almost like a dump in shot coming into the zone...the goalies thing it's nothing so it either beats them 5 hole or it skips off the butterfly goalies pads when he's down..
Anyone else here play Ice Hockey?

soft wrist shot
Sounds to me like you dont have the power to reach the net in the air with your wrist shot!!!.....Originally posted by DiRTyBuNNy

like I said before...it's effective because I look like I'm just going to shoot a laser right at them..and the damn thing drops on them like a curve ball..try it some time...scares the heck out of them...no joke...the goalie usually tries to overplay the shot...it's funny as heck..Comment

Thinking of all these ice hockey things has made me remember when i broke my goalie's helmet..heh...funny thing we were doing the standard horse shoe drill for warmups, and i skate to the blue line, catch a pass, and from about 3 feet in the blue line, rip a shot top corner...Bang.my goalie, doing his job stops the puck, but his little plastic neck protector was cracked right in half.
hows that for a slap shot..

yeah..my brother, who's a little bit younger and started playing when he was 10, knocked out like 6 kids in one season from legal checks...by the playoffs all the kids started staying away from him...they'd come up ice and head straight for the other defenseman just so that there was no chance my brother would level them..Comment

hip checks
open ice hip checks where everyone can see it are the best.. That will teach those huge 6'0 footers to stay away from me

hahahah...my brother is 6'3....he'd just wait for the idiot to drop his head and look down at the puck..**WHAM** and he'd be seeing stars...usually right about the blue line..Comment

hip-checks
thats why i drop the shoulder at the vest last second, so the person has as little time as possible
. aslo..i always go on someone twice.. 1st time i may get leveled on purpose..to see what kind of defense he plays...if i notice that the defenseman crosses over...the next time i go twinkle toes on his behind and put it into overdrive. do you know what happens when i do that...queen has a good song on it called...another bites the dust

cool cool...I play D also...that's the good thing about being 6'4" and wearing over 250...haha...some little tiny forward wants to sit in my crease..i just push him right out...I had this guy..who i was pushing out of the way...so he starts leaning on me...so I just moved and he fell flat on his face...the ref walked up to me after the whistle and was saying..if I didn't see what you did to him I probably would have called a penalty because you're standing there and all of a sudden he's flat on his face..Comment

yea thats happend to me before, but the crease is always crowded...i like the high slot better..less traffic and it makes me more open for a pass of a one-timer.
Oh, my brother used to play for this pyscho coach..he used to make them skate until they threw up, then made them skate more. He used to make my brother go out every shift and make him knock down every person on the ice or he would have to do like 300 laps lol. After he stopped playing, I had a tournament in colorado, and his coach was there at the hotel..He was scheduled for an ultimate fighting match LOL.
