Actually no they were not. That is how Massoiu was caught.
Whatever. :o I'll concede part of the point. Still weren't two of the 'pilots' given extended visa just before it happened?

And anyways, fake IDs or not, it was US immigration that bungled, Americans that helped them in.....

The issue still stands that 9/11, Okalahoma City, Militia Groups, Suburban Snipers, are all US problems allowed by US government bungling. Whether the cuase is internal or external, if the internal agencies were doing their job correctly the events would not have happened.

Tell us how to run our country and make up our minds when you figure out how to run yours....

It was not our bungling government that allowed this to happen. It was the freedoms that we allow our citizens and residents. Sure we could defeat all crime and never be subject to a terrorist attack again, but I really don't feel like living in a police state.

These terrorists/criminals are trying to use the very freedom we enjoy to destroy us. Well the terrorists figured wrong! We did not shrink back after 9/11. The sleeping giant awoke again and began kicking butt again. Hell we should not have stopped with Iraq and Afghanistan.
There are still plenty in the Muslim Radical world that need to learn that messing with the US is like playing with fire. Sooner or later you are gonna get burned!

Who is telling you how to run your country? We are just ridiculing it!

SO you're telling me that no ships made in what later became the American colonies used Canadian Timber.

And that not a single person in Canada smoked Tobacco?

            Ok, sure.

It has to be perfect here before Canada will even consider doing anything?

And if so, why even bother on fixing naything here if Canada will refuse to help?

You really aren't getting this are you.

Why would the American colonies get timber sent to them when they had forests surrounding them?

Why would Canadians have tobbacco shipped to them when they had it growing near by?

These were local products in both sets of colonies that were exported to Europe, not traded amongst the colonies.

The trade routes that brought these products to port to be shipped to Europe were developed from the coastal/waterway settlements. The American colonies expanded inland with product carried to the coast or down the Mississppi. The Canadian inland colonies sent everything to Montreal where it was loaded into ships for Europe. The Maritime colonies used their own ports.

actually I DID mean to type 100 and NOT 10 miles. 10 miles is not geographically possible with the enormous populations of toronto and montreal on the waterways that separate the countries.

If you're referring to the Canadian I think you are, the Canadian government protested that deportation.

If my memory serves, the person in question hadn't lived in Egypt for years and was only in Newark to get a connecting flight home to Canada.

Unfortunately the Media is too busy building hype and sensationalising to give follow-ups to many stories.

I suppose this is where you tell me how the great Canadian medical research industry has invented, what?
                          ...well insulin for one. http://inventors.about.com/gi/dynami...s/insulin.html
There might be a few American diabetics who are pretty happy about that one.
I find this all kind of amusing. As far as people go, there's really no difference between most Canadians and Americans. We've both had our fair share of embarrasments running our countries. You guys had Richard "I am not a crook" Nixon and Bill "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" Clinton and we've had such fools as Pierre Trudeau (our dollar was worth more than yours before this guy came along) and Cretien was his finance minister! He's a complete embarassment. Judging a people by the jerks that run the country in which they live is shear folly.
Americans and Canadians have always enjoyed making fun of each other and have a rivalry much like what exists between brothers. Ridicule the French Canadians all you want, but go spend a weekend in Montreal (cough) Chez Parie (cough)and see if you still feel the same way afterwards. In much the same way, I'd probably cut down on the "Darwin's waiting room" type fo jokes if I actually spent some time in the Ozarks... well maybe not!

Let's just keep the rivalry friendly.

                          p.s.
