Ever time America tried to invade Canada, we kicked your asses all the way back home

u talk about digging up gems, could u tell me where u got this one?! My next point is what kind of thoughtless jackhole would start a thread with this subject when as a country we are remembering and reliving the most horrific day in this countrys history!? Cant u let us grieve, or do u have to be like that attention-starved little kid in grade school?! oh, and then follow it up with "oh by the way i still love u." that shows real class

Unfortunately the Media is too busy building hype and sensationalising to give follow-ups to many stories.
        Uhm, no!
I am referring to the Egyptian that owned a business in Newark that pleaded guilty to helping the hijackers obtain IDs and move money. He was deported back to Egypt after pleading guilty.

Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. The US government should be congradulated for ridding the world of more Soviet filth.
In all the non-sense uttered in this thread... So in your idea of justice we can massacre thousands of civilians because they democratically elected somebody who's on the opposite side of the political spectrum than you?

As for all of you who are quoting Canadian Bacon (and btw we don't have "Canadian bacon" here it's a pure USA invented pork by-product, we have classical stripe bacon) you are quoting a REALLY OLD poc movie, it's outdated.

And those who say Canadian towns were established because of american town your ego is a little too big, Montreal and Quebec were here before New-York.

As for the funny part who say 90% of us live near american borders here are the damn reasons:
-what geographically divides the USA from Canada? The great lakes, which were back in the days the only way you could ship something in/out of the country trough St-Lawrence river.
-About 80% of Canada is a no-man's land in winter, below -40 is a norm there during winters and the summer there is so short you can't dig more than 2 feets because under that the soil is perma-frost IT NEVER THAWS.
THat's why so many Canadians live near US borders.
bla bla bla, does anyone read this anyway ?

No, that is what I thought when I read your post. You are attacking and flaming America on 9/11 when the rest of us are grieving.

You post an article strictly to attack our country. You insult us on a very sensitive topic on a particular day. Collegeboy for all his rantings at least still acknowledged the victims. I can not print what I think of you because I would be banned. You deserve far worse!

Also, New Amsterdam or NYC as we now call it was founded in 1629. Montreal or as it was known then as Ville-Marie was not founded until 1642. Before that it was a small garrison, hardly a town or settlement. So maybe you should check your facts and your ego at the door.

No, that is what I thought when I read your post.
I meant to make you think outside your country so that you may realise that Sept 11 is not reserved to the USA.

You insult us on a very sensitive topic on a particular day
Yes I'm attacking the government using a strong, very sensitive topic, I have a buddy who happens to be a chilean refugee who lost family in the conflict. Want to explain them why it was a good idea to support Pinochet?

                  a particular day.
Is there a more appropriate day? like never? Also note I didn't post this the 11 but the 12...

                  New Amsterdam
Got bad info didn't know NYC had another name before but then again I could get anal and say that natives lived there before and called it Hochelaga. As for which tribe of native got there first I give up ...

Don't get me wrong, I have american buddies that I woudn't want to lose but I also like beating the iron while it's hot. In every single thing there are defects, what I can't stand is people who ignore things so big they could crush them. I have also learned that explaining things in lenght is a waste of time, I'd rather provoke and let people get their own conclusions then give them my conclusions (like they give a f? anyway ?!?!?).

Let's make something staright with everybody, at one point in your lives I will piss you off like 1stdeadeye is pissed now. My goal is not to anger you though it's to make you reflect.

Maybe you should learn history before you spout it off. NYC being New Amsterdam is very common knowledge. There is actually a subway stop called New Amsterdam.
You could get anal, but still be wrong. There were indians living in NYC long before the dutch. Ever heard about the bead story?

No country is perfect. How about those Canadian Quintuplets that the Canadian government took from their parents to make into a tourist attraction? Oh yes, Canada has for ever been a paragon of virtue. Ask the Dionne family what they thought of Canada's benovalent government! Quintland was a wonderful thing, eh?

Matt_mg's post was a little insensitive but that is no excuse for going out on an all out ridiculing campaign against Canada. Why do Americans feel they have to force everyone to admit that America is "better" and that any freedoms they enjoy are the result of our mighty nation.

The bashing of long standing allies is wasted energy. We fought one war with Canada then agreed to share the longest peaceful boundary in the world. Live and let live it was decided.....

We should stick with that. We cannot blame Canada for 9/11. Oh and by the way they do live close to the border because of the weather. Are there so many southern Californians because they secretely want to be annexed by Mexico?

                        Aaron,
This is the guy who started the thread. He attacked, we responded. Remind you of a Collegeboyism?

As I said, Canada has lot's of great things, strip bars for instance . However attack and flame, and we will defend and return fire. Don't want none, don't start nothing. Sounds pretty simple to me.

Had he not started a fire, there would be no flames!

Well, since this needless debate has run so long unnecessarily, I feel I must comment before it runs cold (no pun intended).

Admittingly, I have skipped 2 whole pages before posting, so I don't know if my opinions have been voiced already. However, I will proceed.

Firstly, most of the Canadian population resides near the U.S. border probably because it's warmer there than anywhere else in that region. I don't imagine you'd like to live in -30 degree weather during the winter in about 5 feet of snow.

Secondly, yes, every time Americans have tried to "invade" Canada, we were repulsed by the residents. This was mainly for two reasons.
The first couple of times we tried, it was during the American Revolution. I doubt that we would have been able to do much of anything due to fighting the British Army at the same time we were trying to advance on Canada.
Secondly, even if we WERE to successfully invade Canada, what would that prove? We wouldn't have had the sheer manpower to occupy and hold a territory that big at that time. Perhaps today, we COULD do it, but again, it would prove nothing except for the fact that we just captured a slab of cold dirt.
But I know what some of my fellow Americans are thinking: "Wow, frenchmen who can actually standing up to and defeating an invading force?!" But this may be attributed to that fact that while they may be French, they are French-CANADIAN, so they aren't the tradtional frogs. They actually have conjonies.

Socialized medicine may work in Canada, but I would NOT want that system here in the U.S. I know the benefits of sucha system; I just do not like the idea of not being able to choose who I see, where I see fit. I may be a bit off in my translation into it, but that is how I belive it to be to a degree.

But should any of this even matter? We're paintballers. We're a family, albeit an extended one, so why the hell are we p**sing and moaning at each other as if we've got something to prove? This is not only retarded, it's a waste of time.

Oh well. Lets postpone this discussion until we can arrange a massive U.S. versus Canada AO meet and greet! We'll have it in Canada and then Scott can show us these "sights" that impressed him so greatly
