GC sucks major ________

they suck and have never been good or will be good in the future. i hate them and they are an embassament to punk. Ramones, Clash, Sex Pistols and so on are great examples of what good punk is (or was) and should continue to be.


ps. iv heard of flogging molly but i perfer Dropkick murphy's over them as far as irish punk

And your a greatt example of a wanna be punk who just says every band sucks cuz they arn't punk and you know exactly what punk is to prove this You just start naming off the same bands everyone does to try and sound like you are a punk experts. Give it up, it doesn't make you any cooler if you bash bands.

Bands like GC have gotton such a bad rap that people will just bash them no matter if they have even listend to many of their songs. It's become the trend just to bash them so everyone does it.

And when you say they are an embarassment to punk, are you involved in punk? If bands like Rancid arn't embarased to be associated with GC than they can't be a very big embarasment to punk, seeing as Rancid is a very "punk" band.

Why does every thread about a band have to turn into a "Their not punk" thread. GC did have some good songs, like "The Click" ie undergrads theme, "festival song" and "Lifestyles of the rich and the famous" were songs that I liked. Some of their new stuff is garbage, but they have had good songs. Amd BTW, they arn't very rich. Music piracy has affected everyone involved in music, and you just dont make alot of money off touring and making records. All of the big stars make the big bucks by being paid to appear at events and endorce stuff and they useualy get paid alot for interviews too. I'm not saying GC is poor or anything, but I'm pretty sure they arn't rich.


And MaChu. Adam's song was a REALY good song. One of blink's best IMO. It was a meaningful and good song and they didn't try to overemphisise the suiside part, as GC did. They did a much better job of tackling the suiside subject than GC did. I think Blink Were in their prime on "dude ranch" and "enema of the state".

hey the real reason i hate gc is they are a bunch of ****in hypocrites. They can be acting all bada** and then be into protecting nature the next minute. I think they make should thier ****in mind up what they are and yes they DID have some "good" songs. but look at them now all thier song sound pretty much the same and yes sloppy i have heard alot of thier songs. now if you want to get into some good punk bands Operation Ivy, Rancid, DropKick Murphys, Less Than Jake (also ska), Bad Religion, The Clash (Joe Strummer kicked a$$), Ramones, The Casualties, Messed, Brodie, and others.

I havn't seen them protecting nature, but If you have power you should use it to for somthing good. Nirvana did lots of benifits for gay rights/ pro choice charaty's(thou they might not be "punk" enough for you). All artists go on stage and put on a show. Their main agenda is to make the audience happy. Even your beloved punk bands dont act the same way all the time, useualy, what they do on stage, is not what they do all the time off stage. So don't call someone a hypicrit because they dont act exacly the same way all the time.

u know GC is pretty good. The Sex Pistols are also pretty good. I really don't have a type of music that i listen too. Let's let GC do whatever the hell they want. There not asking your opinion either, they are just making music. I mean i like Simple Plan (which is not punk) I like Metalica, I like 3 Days Grace, and i really don't even classify music anymore. It's just music... the only music i don't listen to is classic and country, and i might even listen to country. So like i said before let GC do whatever the hell they want, there not my favorite band, but they are pretty damn good.

Im going to agree with pretty much everything Lopy-Slopy has said so far, at least theres one person who can actually think in reality and not trying to fit everything into categories.

First time I heard GC was when "The Click" was the themesong for that show Undergrads. I havent really listened to them since then. They dont seem to be that bad of a band to listen to, but Ive only heard like 5 or 6 songs of theirs lately. I havent heard that song, or seen the video, but I dont see what the big deal is about writing a song about suicide.

Props to Lopy-Slopy and illshowumyramrod, I agree.
