When it comes to trading, it also gives you an idea of how much the guy is online. I usually dont bother offering stuff if they have like 10 posts. I like the post count, but heck, I dont abuse it like some people...

for me - post count makes absolutely no difference. I will be looking for feedback first.
as far as I am concerned, postcount does only one thing. It takes NO work to acquire more posts (this has been proven), and it only serves as a source of competition for who can have the most posts. Again, as far as I am concerned, there is no other reason for having it, so I say - get rid of it, if possible. Thanks, Brent "RamboPreacher" Hoefling, CPPA founder

Most definitely get rid of it. People here know who to turn to for advice...and, most others can point in their direction. I think join dates tell how experienced people are here, for the most part. Besides, all post counts do now is encourage kids to boost theirs. I mean, someone who joined in September having more than me? Seems like PWing to me. The only ones who care are those who PW anyway...kill the count, kill the PWing. Seems simple to me.Comment

I may have just been naive, but postwhoring and random bickering has never seemed as bad as it is now. I am a member of another gorup of forums who removed their post count, and while it didn't completely eliminate useless posts, it cut all of the posts with no substance to them.Comment
